I have hundreds of Rye Playland videos of an amusement park consisting of me filming them while narrating. I also have some of my friends on the videos too. The best videos are me filming myself on the rides.
Jay I just wanted to say that I very much appreciate your videos. Not sure if you've considered this but you've become a Playland archivist, taking candid videos over the last 20 years that would otherwise be lost to time. I worked for the Tolves for three summers, from 2007-2009 and really enjoyed my time there - I got curious about the past during COVID and actually purchased their Dance Dance Revolution machine when they were closed in 2020. That event got me curious about Playland content on RU-vid and you by far have the most of it. Just know that at least one other human out here really appreciates your content - it's very fun and interesting to be able to go back in time to candid moments like these.

I also have a Rye Playland site on facebook, where I post an old Playland vintage black and white picture everyday, and three videos each week Sunday midnight, consisting of one old Playland video of the park and rides, a Rye Playland poem, and a Rye Playland karaoke spoof song consisting of me singing my own lyrics.
Well my ticket for the lower left balcony at the Capitol in Portchester was $155.00. I bought my friend a ticket too which totaled $310.00. Unfortunately I never got to see THE WHO in concert.
Too bad Daltrey wasn't with Townsend and the rest of THE WHO. My ticket was $155.00 seated in the right balcony. I zoomed in with my Android Verizon phone which made it appear me sitting much closer. Hard to believe Roger Daltrey can still this good at 80 years old.
I haven’t been to this park in ages and I was watching recent videos on this ride and I was like….”didn’t this ride used to be darker?!” Yup I was right! 😂
Well, I haven't been going to Playland over the past two years taking videos, for the mere fact the damn prices are so high now. I heard it will be $20.00 to park this summer. I don't know if that's during the week or just the weekends. I'll try and get there once or twice this year. Sorry.

Yeah, Pat the owner had taken it down several years ago. I think because he lost money at $3.00 a visitor being a private concession. Plus, he was very strict about not wanting people entering his walk through ride taking videos. You can see by the beginning where Pat says, I don't think she wants her picture taken. Little did he know I was taking a video. Yet the ride attendants never cared when I had taken videos in The Old Mill, Zombie Castle and Flying Witch. How do you figure that?

@@Jjonathanhartwow i didnt expect a response that quick. they still have them in the infield of the ride. the lead cars at least. during ace preservation con 2023 we got to tour it and they let some people sit in them.
I'm glad they didn't get rid of those church cars. If they used them again I think it would make The Dragon Coaster much more popular increasing attendance quite a bit.
@@Jjonathanhart problem is they only have 2 lead cars. Not enough for a full train. The Morgan rolling stock they run with now is very light. Idk if PTC rolling stock would be comparable to P&C rolling stock. Also GCI millennium Flyers look near identical to the P&C but I know they are lighter than PTC rolling stock, and instead of having 4 riders to each 2 row car of the train, each car is a single articulating row. Idk if rye would want to invest in these but if they ever want to switch the trains those are their best options.
Well that wouldn't be good then for two reasons. Not enough cars to complete a full train like you say, and they're too light for the tracks. That could be a hazard.
I like this ride, but I hate that sound playing that sucks. That idiot can't sing worth shucks. That sorry excuse for a song ruined this otherwise splendid video.
No, sorry. I heard some people say on the Rye Playland site that everything is ski high and a rip off. Parking's $10.00 during the week, $20.00 on the weekend and they charge people to walk along the pier. That's totally insane.
That's a good possibility. You ought to join my Rye Playland Site on facebook. I have over 2, 500 subscribers now. If this was You Tube I'd be getting paid by them by now .But I only have 750 You Tube members. You need a 1000 before they start paying you.
You mean they removed both Cruise boats. I'm just so glad I had taken several videos of them. Playland needs to get a few cruise boats again. They'll make money from riders if they do.
I miss this ride coming to my fair slightly different but I miss rocking the cars, we have one that's the same thing but the cars are slightly smaller can't rock them though sadly
