Rodgers understands underappreciated leaders---why he gave a shout out and mad respect to Putin. Rodgers is really quite the guy. haha. Rodgers is a loser.
They low key snuck up on everyone and showed they were really better than everyone thought. I think they were underdogs and rightfully so. When you are really good and you are underdogs you win more than you would think. Once Packers/Rodgers could not sneak up on anyone anymore it became much harder to win. Brady is undefeated in SBs when his team is the underdog. he's 4-3 when his team is the favorite. MVP's change expectations and pressure builds up. Favorites against Giants Twice and Eagles. Lost all 3. Rodgers is a great QB who did take advantage of a weak Division and when the playoffs came around just came up short when the competition and pressure was cranked up. Brady used the weak division to take advantage in the playoffs. Maybe its coaching or roster, but its seemed like even for Brady when he won MVPs he lost in the playoffs too. Having a weak division just gives you a better stat line and seeding what you do with it when it matters is what matters.
It destroys me what happened 4 snaps into last season, as a long time suffering jets fan. I really hope he rebounds and so does the offensive line and offense in general
the packers didnt even make the playoffs legit in 2010 so none of this "playoff run" counted anyways. they lost at home to the vikings 27-24 therefore they went 9-7 and the buccaneers were the actual 6th seed. Quarless td doesnt count because he was out of bounds and the Shiancoe td did count so the packers lost that game. i wonder if Rodgers will ever win a legit super bowl?
RIP OJ.. no one wants to talk about the serial killer Glen Rogers that was arrested 1 month after the OJ trial concluded with Rogers brother stated that his brother Killed Simpson and Goldman...how can a man kill 2 people with a knife and not have any wounds...explain that
Your recollection of the transfer of Rodgers from Favre is either myopic or taken exclusively from outsiders. Changing was hardly clear-cut, and many Packers fans HATED the switch, it was hardly a clear-cut decision.
Aaron Rodgers is not a disrespected athlete in fact, I think he’s probably the second most beloved player in NFL history behind Peyton Manning. I’ve watched Fox Sports ESPN and about 100 other organizations in the media worship this dude for decades now. is he a first ballot Hall of Famer Yes obviously. but does he deserve to get as much credit as he does? hell no people go as far as to rank him ahead of guys like Brady and Brees and that’s just crazy to me. In fact the guy reminds me a lot of Terrell Owens. horrible locker room/media guy but if you wanna make sure you’re gonna have one of the top five players in the league every season at that particular position you gotta keep him around. Was Aaron just as bad as Terrell no but it’s a similar situation
Simpson's first year in Buffalo was wasted by Bills HC John Rauch who did not use him in an offense that would highlight his talents. It took the hiring of Lou Saban who focussed on constructing a powerful offensive line specifically to use Simpson more effectively that Simpson's talent was more fully utilized.
When the NFL and AFL announced that they would merge starting in the 1970-71 season that resulted in a common draft (before this the NFL and AFL held separate drafts and if a player was drafted by both leagues a bidding war would take place). As a result, the Buffalo Bills had the worst previous record going into the 1970 draft and drafted Simpson. Privately Simpson said he would have preferred to play for an original NFL team not in a backwater that Buffalo was.
Hey, I get it. This is about Pretty Boy but you mention tons of other teammates and big plays on this SB journey, so how on earth do you not mention Clay Matthews hit on Steelers RB that causes fumble? Respect Kevin Greene (rip) in the very least..." It IS time"
If you gave Rodgers Andy Reid or Belichick, whoooo baby. He would have rings on his toes. He is the most talented QB ever. Forget the accolades. Pound for pound, Rodgers is the most pure QB to walk the planet. 1. Rodgers 2. Mahomes 3. Marino
What I think deserves mention in that run is the championship game *tackle* by Rodgers to keep Urlacher from taking his INT to the house and maybe saving the game!
