I've fished for years for trout fishing for 35 years but the Bass fishing the last year has been very expensive. I had two fishing poles or rods and now I got 23 rod's and new flambeau kinetic blue backpack and the matching bag and Plano edge 3700 and 3600 and 3500 for my bags because I like the water proof seal on them. First aid is a have too for sure. I've have saved all of my extra money for little stuff I like. But finding most stuff on clearance sale. It's a good thing get out a try to camp or fish get the kids to get out there also. I gut got two little guys a tat theme how to cast. There mom as very happy gave me lunch. I miss my kid's that small learning and experience life right. Great video 👊🏼 There is so much money in Bass fishing you can spend because it always changes though the session on baits.
Its obvious that the money i spent on tacles/fishing accesories and the amount of salt water fish i caught is way over what it would have cost me to go to the fishmonger... But the experience, the fun, the ocean, the sun and being fully disconnected from the society for a few hours is way more valuable than my tackle. Im investing in my passion with no regrets. I enjoyed every minutes of fishing the sea (shore jigging, surf casting, in France), even when landing no fish in 5h sessions. Whats matters is the journey, not the financial constraints... Ill still be fishing on the beach and realeasing small fish, without littering the smallest fishing line, enjoying myself, and... my fish taste better from the fishmonger! Its a passion... 🥲🤗😘
I'm also from Long Beach California and I love Pier fishing I have to disagree with you fishing isn't a experience sport or hobby if you know how to spend your money wisely I'm a budget kind of person I always look for fishing gear and fishing lures on sale clearance or from my local mom and pop tackle shops and swap meets no need to buy expensive fishing gear fishing isn't expensive
Fishing is good but you don’t want to eat them very often. Very high levels of DDT and other toxins. They found 25,000 barrels of DDT off the shelf between Catalina and the coast.
@@DoctorSess Well, only a few fish are contaminated. I’m pretty sure the Mackerel and Bonito are safe to eat. Just the Black, White Croakers, Barracudas and the Topsemlt are contaminated.
@@PierFishingEnjoyer everything from Ventura to San Diego is contaminated but you’re right in that some species are worse than others. Definitely avoid the croaker. Personally I wouldn’t eat anything out of the red zone (Santa Monica to Seal Beach).
I know this video is 2 years old but I’m new to the channel and I’m a local who usually fishes at Belmont shore pier..do u need a fishing license in this spot?
Your comment of people "are being over paid" was offensive from the start. Especially since you're doing NOTHING all day but throwing a plastic in a huge body of water, sitting all day , waitting and hoping a dumb fish to hook up. Its the biggest escuse for bumbs to justify "not doing anything at all in a full day, every day. Kids go hungry every day because we are all under paid, you morron, . Screw you and you ignorant way of seeing how the world functions. You sound so stupid. I love fishing but im not even going even finish this one. Choose your words wisely if you are going to expect to get real fisherman to pay you any attention. If you dont want people around .... fishing at a public beach is not the brightes idea. Any day ofthe week.
Luckily it is not that easy of a walk I'm sure many a drunk have fallen through those cracks and have hurt them selves . Teach them a lesson before they go tag and throw their alcohol bottles in the water.
