I just placed my HDD in to my 7608NI-i2/8p and the beeping started as yours was. Sort of three long and two short. I was about to do something drastic as well. Then I saw your video. Very good Chris. Life saving (so to speak) - very much appreciated.. It is strange that Hikvision are still selling their 7600 series with the same issue after almost 3 years. Thanks.
Just measured it up: 13mm (or 1/2" if in US), but remember it's reverse thread due to rotation of the blade. It's also a flange nut (has the lip on the bottom).
+John Mudd Tried that mate, but I noticed it still wouldnt cut properly due to the shortened length. If you look at the edge of the plate and the way it wears down, it actually wears rounded quite evenly (makes sense since it rotates), and changing sides wont give you back depth of cut. The new plate is considerably longer, and you have to reset the depth gauge all the way to the other end.
nope, as is. a worn blade looks "sharpened", but a new edger blade has to have a thick edge otherwise it wont last very long at all being hit against bricks/concrete/etc.
