In 2018, 25 years after the release of their multi-Grammy nominated hit album “God Shuffled His Feet”, The Crash Test Dummies hit the road for the first time in 20 years with an Anniversary Tour that spanned North America. The overwhelming reception led to a 30th Anniversary Tour in 2022 for their debut release “The Ghosts That Haunt Me” that touched down in North America and Europe - and the band is showing no signs of slowing down.
“Touring again was not something we’d planned on, but surprisingly - at least to me - there are lots of people who many years later, still want to come and hear us. The folks that are coming out to see these shows tell us their stories, some of them very funny, some very dark and all very personal. It’s very humbling, being in the confidence of so many people” says lead singer-songwriter Brad Roberts, “and it has inspired us to continue to tour and make music.”
2023 saw the release of a new single for the first time in over 10 years - “Sacred Alphabet“
Awesome documentary. Been a fan for thirty years or more and never knew they had all these newer albums after Give Yourself a Hand. I am so ashamed. Now, they're up there with Pink Floyd and Nirvana as one of my favorite bands of all time. Saw them the other day live for the first time and it's the best concert I've ever seen. Love the Dummies.
Just found this track, I love CTD since their first album, I was lime 12 years old...wonderful mood, great Brad voice, dramatic song. I'm going to listen all their songs again.
I have only ‘discovered’ CTD in the last month or two. I was aware of Mmm Mmm Mmm of course, but until recently had no idea how damn good they were or how much I would grow to love Brad Roberts’ voice. This band is truly special and I’m grateful for each of them.
Sadness & no light in their music…such a waste of talent. People need hope & inspiration….although could be used to create dark emotions in theater/movies to create a dark feel in the crowd. The songs are storytelling not much for entertainment as a positive for a world needing hope & love.
I searched what happened to crash test dummies band and found this beautiful song. A little confuse as i always thought you guys were god haters. You guys even terrifies my little kid the first time he heard the mmmmmm song
oh my gosh I just saw them tonight in Eugene Oregon and after 30 years of loving these guys I was thrilled to be in the third row so close to the people that have brought me so much dance and happiness and introspection in the decades! what beautiful souls ❤
