Hi so there are two kidney shaped holes at the bottom of the skimmer on the plastic plate above motor. The skimmer cylinder has the same holes. Align them so they match. Then make slow adjustments by twisting and slightly covering till you get the right mix
My only complaint with the Biomaster 250 is the hose/lily pipe assembly. The hoses are so stiff that they are difficult to route from the filter to the aquarium. The lily pipe/intake is difficult to position in a way to stay in place. I am making a better part to hold the pipes in place.
@@natureaquariumsusa Did that. Worked well for getting the tubing on the barbs. I plan on modifying the intake to accommodate fitting to the 12" deep 33 L tank. Am designing a mount so both intake and lily pipe stay put. Will be an interesting project.
Hi. Any media can be placed above the bio at the bottom. On a side note the zeo should only be used for hospital tanks where you are dosing strong antibiotics. The biological media when cycled properly is what pulls out all of the ammonia. Zeo only can pull so little ammonia out of the water that it’s a waste. When setting this filter up just add a good quality bacteria and in 3-4 weeks the media handles all of it.
@@natureaquariumsusa thank. The reason I am planing to put zeo is , we are going on holiday for over 3 weeks and no water change can be done . I have 5 small discus fish in 130l tank. I thought I put zeo to reduce spike of ammonia .
Hi. Properly running biomedia with bacteria should handle it. I would place two packets of purigen as well. But use something like turbo start and keep the old filter running.
@@natureaquariumsusa is it Seachem Purigen Premium Synthetic Filter Resin For Marine And Freshwater Fish Aquarium 500ml? Which one is turbostart ? Thank
Hi so the filtosmart is outstanding for what you are looking for. I should make a video on them. natureaquariums.com/products/filtosmart-100-thermo-external-filter
Hi so I have rotated through multiple lights on them. It depends on freshwater or marine. Oh man. I have electric blue crayfish since January and its august. And ive always avoided this topic. But now that i got cajun dwarf crayfish i noticed that they are more sensitive to a small change of water. Which idk why they acted weird. Wairing on gh and kh test to come in.
Hi great question. No they will not. But I have these from Singapore that use suction cups. They come in 4 sizes with and wo skimmer natureaquariums.com/products/stainless-steel-jet-pipes
El mejor acuarista de BROWARD sin duda, hemos aprendido mucho por él,somos de Hialeah y vamos hasta allá a buscar productos y peces, excelente lugar 6 estrellas de 5,saludos Henrry Alie y keila 👍🏼
So I have one at the store as a demo with guppies. I had to put a valve in line to slow the flow. It’s lidless. I also have a 3n with a betta no rim no issues. So it depends on but I would not put a betta without the valve. Also make sure it’s a short fin variant as their bodies will get stuck on the intake. natureaquariums.com/products/two-little-fishies-ball-valve-for-filters-and-pumps
Any chance you know if this is the 13mm (medium) or 17mm (large) Aquario Neo Mixer & Outlet? I have a UNS 30A and want to add Neo CO2 but not sure which size to choose.
The bio masters are 20% off till the 15th. With free shipping. If they show out of stock go ahead and order we are shipping out daily natureaquariums.com/
@@natureaquariumsusaI ordered because of this great video and saw they were on sale. Mines in transit. I’m setting up a tank for the very first time. Hopefully this bad boy lives up to this video. Thank you for all the information. I will be ordering from your company again I’m sure. Cheers!
It can with a sponge filter attachment. Some people like to run air filters because they have a single air pump for multiple tanks or they run a battery backed up air pump. Multiple ways to accomplish the same thing. No wrong or right way just another way
It’s so annoying how you just say “there you go, that how I can shorten” while the video is playing a hundred miles an hour and you don’t explain how to do it.
Hi I’ll have to look at the video again. First time someone says something. Video was shot a long time ago. So I’ll look at it. Sorry about that. Anything I could help you in particular?
@@natureaquariumsusa I bought the small for my 20 gallon long as suggested, but no matter what I do the flow tube sticks up out of the water so I get zero bubbles.
Hi. So the way a sponge filter works is that its primary function is not to bubble your tank. It uses the rise of air bubbles to move water through the sponge. We have 80% of our stock tanks are 20 longs and on many of them the elbow tube is out of the water. That’s fine because it is moving water. Just like a canister filter. So as long as you are rippling the water it oxygenates the water.
Thanks for the hard work!! I have their in-tank skimmer on my 75g and love it. Next canister filter may be the oase. Have an fx4 which also kicks butt. It's footprint/size is a little tough to manage but otherwise very satisfied
Your easily the only one that owns a fish shop and consistently taking brand new products from the sales floor and making so many user friendly videos. I don't consider Green Aqua when it comes to demonstrating anything other than tissue culture plants & nano aquariums because eventually those Betta builds will be sold which I reminded me of George Farmers selling his now through Aquarium Gardens . Probably more of the Proven Performers would be very happy to do something similar 🤔 Thanks Henry it's been extremely helpful for anyone who is considering getting any of the aquarium products you have shared. Still interested in the Pro version of the Bio CO2 FLUVAL has but it seems like i would be better if I keep refilling with my 5lb. tanks..☯️
Thank you so much for the feedback. I will work on making more videos like these. I appreciate the support. Also any suggestions for future videos too!
Thank you for the feedback. Since that video we switched microphones that are less sensitive. Stay tuned as we will be redoing some of the earlier videos with better audio, editing and updates based on questions we have received. We already have reshot a very popular video on the Oase biomaster filter. It’s being edited now. Thank you for the feedback
I was in the last competition and even though I didn't win I had such a good time! I made some friends and got to meet the awesome people at Nature Aquarium. It's an amazing store as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to make this one to watch (I really want to) but I'll be away. I highly recommend that people go do this or even go and watch. The presentation before the competition was wonderful as well. Have a blast everyone!
I like the system design a lot. If I plan to use the space (under the ATO reservoir) next to the protein skimmer as a refugium, could you recommend an LED lighting fixture that is suitable? thanks
UNS will have a lid and led light made specifically for it. They are in the final stages of testing and will start production very soon. I have seen it and it’s spectrum selectable and water resistant. It looks great
I purchased the 30A when it was delivered, I heard FedEx plop it heavily on the porch. The tank is fine, but the back lid is shattered. I really don’t want to return the whole tank, is it possible to purchase a replacement lid for it?
Its for adding GH and additional nutrients. We use Seachem Equilibrium at the store for years. We use RODI water and buffer with Alkaline buffer and Equilibrium to create water for the fw fish. SKY would be used to increase the GH from your tap water up to a gh of 4 - 6. natureaquariums.com/products/seachem-equilibrium-600-gr-13-lb?_pos=1&_psq=equillibrium&_ss=e&_v=1.0 natureaquariums.com/products/alkaline-buffer-70gm25oz?_pos=1&_sid=b2e09b606&_ss=r
It is very quiet but the flow is strong. I am working on a valve solution for it. We have one at the store. I am sourcing the correct valve to try it out
