The Milwaukee County Transit System is a vital service to the community, connecting 14 million riders each year with jobs, schools, shopping, healthcare and recreation in Milwaukee County. Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc. is a quasi-governmental instrumentality of Milwaukee County responsible for the management and operation of the Milwaukee County Transit System.
New app doesn't let me plan my trip, save favorite, or let me scan my code. It said invalid media. It also said I have a transfer for 212 hours. Please talk to the app developer about these UX problems. The old version was fine and always worked.
Hey!!! Can’t wait but the all the other route changes the timetables on website the have the “preview mode” of the schedules starting in June except the connect 1.
This makes no sense. If you ride the other buses, your WisGO card has all the data needed for a transfer and does far capping automatically. Now that is being replaced with a paper system unique to just one bus line. That's going backwards. Plus, you can be sure that the dispensers are going to (i) run out of tickets and (ii) freeze up in the Wisconsin winter. Also, so few people ride the Connect 1 bus the time saving, if any, will be minimal.
It also makes no sense that almost every single time I ride the bus there is someone who LIES coming up with a myriad of excuses and they just let them ride free anyway. In and of itself it makes no sense to do this, but I feel that this is just another step toward more nefarious circumstances.
Definitely still have kinks to iron out, but the goal of BRT is efficiency and essentially a on-street version of light rail. Hopefully with time MCTS will make improvements and this will be a valuable addition to our cities transit.
I travel to Phoenix. They have a similar system there. There are two machines on every stop of the light rail. The dispensers are broken so frequently that in many cases, both dispensers are out of order at the same time at a given station. Phoenix has almost perfect weather for such a system. Dry weather means that paper tickets won't warm. the parts never freeze and the dispensers never get covered with ice. Now think about the challenges in Wisconsin. Cold, wet weather causes paper to warp and moving parts to freeze up. The machine failure rate in Milwaukee will be several times that of Phoenix. Riders will be punished for being unable to obtain tickets from non working machines. The whole thing will be a mess.
@@generational.justice From what I understand, if you have the UMO app on your phone and scan that you won't require a ticket, that is for those paying with cash/card.
Thank you to this wonderful MCTS driver, Keyon F., for spotting this little child who was in harms way, and taking action to keep him safe -great work! As they say, not all superheroes wear capes.
Please remind your drivers to set their clocks ahead from 2am to 3am on March 10th. The last time a few of us ended up waiting over an hour for the route 14 bus back in 2022
I will never forgot you John, you and your colleagues are the best drivers ever. We will forgive you John. Rest in peace and we will never forget you. 4 Years later.
Just get on the bus That's all you have to do we're told we're not kick anybody off. And by the way you're going to get a transfer on your card if you ask for it
My gurlfriend lives in Milwaukee and I am sure she would have reacted the same way like Kim did. :) I used to drive bendy and double bendy busses in Switzerland for 15 years and even though this looks like an easy turn to me, it's cute how excited she got when she first made it as a freshling. :)
I don’t know why but my app doesn’t allow me to buy passes which is really inconvenient for me and I’ve tried to fix it for days/weeks now. The only option that pops up in my wallet is the add cash option. Am I the only one having this problem?
