The shit thing is "Djent" became the genre, which is just a slang for tone and technique, nothing to do with the overall feel of the music, but FS had a particular feel that wasn't just superficial. Someone needs to take the torch from this album that was released 15 years ago and revive this sound as something distinct to "Djent".
I discovered Sleep Token 7 years ago through a Spotify recommendation, I still listen then real often till today, I like what they make now but, the two first EPs and Sundowning are something else, this was something more than modern metal, so atmospheric and so much beauty encapsulated. I'll listen to this songs till the day I die.
I CAN'T stop listening to this band! Every day I wake up and listen and when I'm not gone doing things it's the same. I've NEVER heard such perfect music! Pitch tone rhythm timing and vocals. I swear these guys had to have studied Music in college somewhere. I May have just found them but I am addicted! Sleep must be One helluva diety! WORSHIP
TMBTE is a very good album no doubt but I can't help but notice a year later there's definitely something missing from TMBTE that makes their older work special. Off the top of my head it might be the production.
I don't what any of this symbolism means or if there even is any but both the song and the video are so fucking beautiful that i don't care what the symbolism is
I own this record. Clear vinyl. I own the CD. It’s in my CD player in my truck since i had the truck in 2017. I listen once a year and i sure do miss Chimp Spanner and Boris Le Gal on drums. Here’s 12 years later. We are still CS bros ❤️
