We filmed a video with the Axial SCX6 and FMS Suzuki Jimny, super fun. The SCX6 will perform better than the FMS on the extremes of trail driving. Leafspring Vs fourlink suspension. On overall appearance and true scale specs the FMS Suzuki Jimny looks real. The one I drive the most is the Jimny. Going over a pile of rocks or crossing a stream the FMS looks and feels more realistic than the SCX6. Depends on what type of driving you do as to which one would be better. Blasting the Ultra 5k at Axialfest Badlands with the SCX6 was an incredible experience that the FMS would not have done so well at the higher speeds. There is a spot on one of our trails only the FMS can barely squeeze through. Love them both, to be honest
Awesome jeeps, Dube! Did you have to do anything with your scx6 after Axialfest? Every bearing but one, in my honcho, was seized up. I even just replaced them all before Axialfest with sealed Jim’s Bearings. The transmission bearings were still stock but everyone of them were toast. Transmission was rust colored and zero grease was in there. Replaced them all with new Fast Eddys sealed bearings, every single bearing, and filled the diffs and transmission with Cowsrc Udder Butter. Not filled, but you know. lol.
Well... the Honcho is fine, just dusty. The Jeep won't turn right. I haven't taken it apart yet to grease anything, but the servo is toast. Second year burning out a servo at Axialfest Badlands.
Reach out to horizon for a warranty on your scx6. My scx6 jeep internal bec went out at the badlands this year and horizon stood behind their product and did the right thing. @@cdube1971
Dang it Dube, every time I watch your videos with one of your SCX6's in it, I start windo shopping for one. 😂 I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy one.
