I was beaten at “reach inside the hood and find the light-fittings” I cannot reach inside the hood. Even when I take out the filters. The light fitting is only accessible THROUGH the hole where the light bulb was (I managed to evventually remove the old light-fitting but it is just too fiddly to push the new one in to place . Do I need to take the whole hood apart. This is a Lamona hood similar to the one in the video but there is no clear access to the light fitting. I have to replace the whole fitting as it is broken (the bulb actually was still working but the casing was broken so I ordered a new one)
Hi We would advise to check if your installer has installed the hood on a fuse spur. If the fuse is ok, please contact our service department on 01765 641888 and they will guide you through other checks that can be done. Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi Usually when steam is not extracted it is 1 of 2 things. 1) The hood is recirculated and not ducted out. Recirculating will not remove steam 2) The ducting is not connected or too small. We recommend minimum 120mm round ducting or rectangular equivalent. If you have any queries you can contact us on 01765 641888 Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi Unfortunately we can't diagnose your problem without more information regarding installation. Please contact our customer service on 01765 64188 so we can discuss this issue with you. Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi This is obviously an error and should say 600mm. The video does state the hood is 60cm and as such a competent installer shouldn't be confused or have any issues installing the hood. Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi The minimum height from the hob is 750mm. Our ceiling hoods will work on a standard 2.4m ceiling with base units at approx. 900mm high. We dont recommend exceeding 2m from hob to hood. Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi This is usually an issue with ducting. Please check your ducting is attached to the motor securely and there are no gaps or holes in the duct. Thanks Luxair Customer Service
Hi If you are ducting out you will not need to use grease filters. You will only need them if you are recirculating back in to the room. Thanks Luxair Team
This is the general advice. However, if the ducting is ineffective, perhaps as it's going up a chimney or hasn't been installed properly and you cannot access the ducting, then there is no harm in also using the charcoal filters.

Hi Yes, the integrated hood is available to use with charcoal filters instead of ducting out. We are currently upgrading our Integrated range to include a brushless motor and colour changing LED lights and will post a video as soon as we can. Thanks Luxair Team
Hi. Unfortunately we don't have a distributor in Dubai. You can purchase on our website but would need to organise your own delivery. Thanks Luxair Customer Service

Hi The Metal Grease Filters are 495mm wide on the 60cm model so should fit. If not we recommend using warm soapy water to clean off the grease. Thanks Luxair Team

Hi The Arcus can have drawers underneath the unit but is primarily designed for an island or to be used with an eye-level built in oven. The motor can be placed in a remote location or underneath the base unit but in order to extract, this type of extractor has to have ducting underneath to connect the motor to the hob. Thanks Luxair Team
Seems like the actual vents are way too small for the stovetop...Those glass wings are at most decorative and I can only assume they get greasy below and dusty on top real quick.
Hi The hood is installed on 150mm ducting and positioned 750mm above the gas hob and as such there is more than enough room and available air flow for the extractor to draw in any vapours from cooking. As the hood is enclosed and sits comfortably within the units with little space around them, only very minimal amounts of steam will pass the glass canopy. We wouldn’t recommend this hood for installation above a 90cm induction hob but in its current set up this hood will work perfectly fine and we would recommend it for any normal cooking use. If you would care to view a more up to date video of an 80cm curved glass hood here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aYJ_9rUSCs4.html This shows how the hood draws in smoke and vapour from all sides during an intensive smoke test. Thanks Luxair Team
Hi The light fittings are very easy to replace. Simply take the metal grease filters out, unplug the light fitting and push the fitting from the back to release. Please see the video link below for more information. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xglpo4Sx2QQ.html Many thanks Luxair Team
I purchased this a while ago as part of a new kitchen . My house is 5 years old and has I beam joists with 600mm centres however even if it’s that width ive had to build a small box for the extractor to fit into . I’m waiting for it to be plastered before fitting the extractor. The instructions are not very good to be honest. However it does say in there that this is designed to be fitted into a false ceiling void / box .
I agree with the last comment I have purchased this extractor but the installation instructions are very poor, where can I fine some video or decent instructions to install the extractor?
This product looks good and the specs appear great. Sadly the fitting instructions on the website are very poor. There is no description accompanying the images, so you have no idea what the image is trying to show you. I understand that due to the size, 90cm, then it cannot befitted in between the joist in the ceiling however it doesn't say if you need to build a wooden subframe to support the appliance either. I hope i get a reply from Luxair which helps to answer this
