chapstick. it seats a knot better thank anything else I tried. apply sufficient onto your lips before you start with the knot and use your lips to apply it to the knot before you synch the knot. it seats the knot Best.
Have turned to using Circle hooks for quite a bit of my beach fishing recently, and attaching my hooks with a perfection loop knot, so the hook has plenty of mobility👍
Have been using similar to these dangles (plain ones without the floats) on my rigs here in the UK during the last 2 summers now. Use them on a pulley rig for smoothhound baited with peeler crab, as the baits are only small so dont need the weight in line with them. And a dingle dangle rig for bass and skate using bigger baits, it works an absolute treat. Nice short fat juicy mackerel squid and herring baits, and have only had a few missed bites. Am going to try a floating one for bass, never thought of that tbh.
