This channel will be about the making of my new n gauge layout which will be based on a fictitious place somewhere in the South Devon area of the Great Western Railway and will be themed between British Rail blue into privatisation era. so on the layout once it is at the stage to operate trains like blue and yellow HST sets to class 47s 37s the iconic class 52 Westerns, Hymeks and class 42 and 43 Warships. then moving forward to Intercitry and then on to modern day class 800 IETs. I will be showing the progress of the layout from basic first board to the extensions of the layout and then onto the electrics ballasting scenery and then onto in the future computer control of the layout. Hope you enjoy the channel please always feel free to like, share and subscribe to the channel. Please keep safe protect your loved ones but above all happy modelling.
Hi Peter. Many thanks for this video mate and I am getting one of these today for simple O gauge layout as my models use the 12v DC system as well. As I got my first O gauge stuff for my 44th birthday last week and I am super happy. All the best Peter.
Hi, my turnouts are wired for DCC with juiced frogs and polarity control by Tam Valley boards. However, I have this kitt from DCC Concepts, and all my turnouts are manual throws. I do have a main power bus for left and right rails, but I have no idea how to wire my DCC Concepts Signals In. Do the same principles apply here in your video? Just wire into the turnouts bus and locat the correct thrown turnout? Hope I make sense. Basically, Im just trying to wire this DCC Concepts Signal kit into my manually thrown DCC Turnouts. My turnouts are DCC manual, not motorized. I also have a DCS52 from digitrax as my controller, not NCE... Thanks in advance kindly.
Hi ya mate Glad you both enjoyed the video their will be another video from the Severn Valley Railway next Friday night. Hope you and the family are all well. Peter
Hiya mate It was great to meet you aswell and yes that top is a bit bright you should see my pink one lol. Hope you had a great day out as I did. Peter
@@chelmswoodjunction Unfortunately not a great day for me, started out with no wallet, so straight off the bat couldn't pay for parking, so missed my planned first train and the day progressed downhill most of the day. Hey ho, these things happen.
Hiya pete Great to see you out and about and what a brill show you went to makes a change to see so many modeling hobbies under one roof. Hope you and the family are all well and look forward to seeing you all soon. Dave
Hi Peter, Thanks for the video... You got the year wrong in the title...It should be 2024 not 2023.. Just thought I would let you know as people won't find you video when searching.
Hi Peter, as one of the operators this afternoon on the making tracks layout I just want to clarify that before the world record attempt we were told to stop running the trains to prepare for the measurement train to be set off, as you can appreciate if during the record attempt the train had stopped the attempt would have failed so we had to make sure everything was perfect, there was a couple of issues which needed attention and they were being sorted just prior, I hope this helps explain why there wasn't any trains running for over half an hour or more mid afternoon.
It does and I am over the moon that you guys won the jackpot of the record I didn't mean to be critical I was so looking forward to seeing it in all it's glory but was worried it was going wrong for you all. Brill news and a massive massive well done to you all at making tracks.
Thank you for producing a informative video of this new show at the NEC it was nice to get a insight into this new exhibition, as I have only ever been to the Warley Show and a few local ones in the MIDLANDS like Sutton Coldfield and Stourbridge, Kidderminster etc .👍
The way I looked at it it was for any modeller and I hope they care this on in the future but hope they add scaextric and maybe mecanno and even war hammer etc
Thank you for doing this video Peter, I just couldnt get this this weekend, so to see what it was like through your eyes is fantastic. Pete did get the record so they must have got trains moving again. I know theyve had huge issues with shorting. I guess alls well that ends well I suppose.
