Y'all got to understand that Emily faked her death in order to protect herself and her team, JJ should not be crucified for following orders however she was wrong to assume reid was mad because he couldn't detect their deception. The person that should be catching heat is unit chief Aaron Hotchner because it was his orders and decision to fake Emily's death and deliberately lie to the team. Me personally I don't think hotch did anything wrong it was strictly need to know and he did it to protect one of his own and possibly national security. That's why Morgan wasn't so upset because he recognized and understood why hotch made the decision and I also do want to point out that hotch did take accountability for his actions regarding Prentiss. Reid was emotionally upset with jj because he was crushing on her but he has to understand that she was just doing her job and couldn't disobey a direct order pertaining to Emily's fake death.
The fact that dumbledore made snape a head master in slytherin as a contingency just incase harry ends up in that house, snape would always check up on him.
We all knew exactly what number one was going to be. It’s iconic. But the penultimate entry at number 2 deserves that placing. It was our introduction to the President on West Wing. It reminded me greatly of Aaron Sorkin’s movie, *_”The American President”_* and his other vehicle *_”The Newsroom”_* opened the first episode with Jeff Daniels, likewise to Martin Sheen, makes an impact when we meet them for the first time. Whilst awaiting my visa approval to move from Canada to the U.K. to be with my now husband, one of my closest friends let me stay with her for the three months of waiting. This was when *_”The Newsroom”_* was first aired and we cried and cheered at the opening monologue and diatribe that Jeff Daniels performs with wit and conviction. We watched every episode that became available, and rewatched it over and over and finally went back to watch *_”The West Wing”_* several times (I always told her the closing music sounded like the music you would see on a documentary about dolphins happily swimming at top speed alongside the boat. It’s all she can think of to this day when she rewatched this show. And hands down, the number one entry on this list was her favourite Bartlett moment. She always cried and felt strongly about it. Watching these scenes now, reminds me of her and makes me sad that she’s on the other side of the ocean and I can’t binge watch the movie and two shows I’ve mentioned above together. She’s due to potentially visit in the next year for work and I hope she takes some vacation days to stay with me for awhile and first on our list for downtime activities is binge watching our Aaron Sorkin playlist. ❤️
This is an example of the sincerity that is possessed without telling the kindness that he does even though he is mistaken as a bad person but he still continues to do kindness without expecting a return from others. Suppose in the real world there are people like this but the reality is very rare and only happens in dramas.
The seemingly good human actually secretly hurt Harry Potter but the seemingly evil Snape instead protected Harry Potter. In this video has also explained the real human life. The good is not necessarily really good behind us but the bad according to people is actually good for us but the fact is that people look more at the outside than the heart of a person. It is good for man when his desires are fulfilled but bad for man when his desires are not fulfilled. It's very sad when we can find out at the last moment that the person we always thought was bad is the person who is really sincere and protects us without any knowledge from us.
The last scene, the rant at God scene, in my opinion is the best scene in TV history. It's a man confronting his religion, which is not only powerful because Bartlet is Catholic but so is Martin Sheen. Wrestling with your religion is such a real thing. The writing is magnificent and Martin Sheen absolutely nails the delivery.
Reid was always above everyone on the team,, really a boy genius, who could not accept his own faults as a human. always needing guidance from other team member's, and he just could not accept that just as he they were human.. being so angry at JJ. he was really exposing his little boy needing his mothers advice,, and he just could not accept his own short comings as a human being
Just imagine being snape, be hated the most by harry who he protect the most and knowing harry acknowledge Dumbledore more for he thought he was the caretaker for him while snape know that Dumbledore secretly plotted for harry death. And he can't reveal whole this for the sake of Harry's good. With this fact, it is acceptable to like snape while start to hate Dumbledore and even harry
I hate how they handled Reid's emotions! I'm angry at the writers for wrapping it up in just one episode, he should have been angry longer than that, they should have acknowledged his emotions better than that! Specially JJ! I love Emily, I really do, but she didn’t mourn anyone, she moved on, that's different!
I liked this show. I wish it would have included characters who made proper Biblical arguments to counter the bad, one-sided arguments laid out in several of these examples.
Snape was really different in the books and in the movies. I love him in the movies but in the books he wasn't that honorable or good. He was a jerk sometimes.
1:34 Phoebe and Piper having the same demeanor as two breakdowns together while someone who’s new in this I would say, “Oh, hi there.” as pretending I’m talking Paige who’s in white.
Honour thy father and thy mother is the 5th commandment, and there's lots of commentary on why. The first 4 Commandments (on the first tablet) are between man and God, the last 5 (on the second tablet) are between man and man. The one regarding your parents is the transitional commandment, and its placement on the first tablet is thought to be because you can't honour God without honouring your parents, because it has to do with authority. This was part of what Jesus pushed back against with his "I came not to bring peace but the sword... Set son against father, etc." because Jesus's message was about revolution against the established authority of the head Rabbis and the oppression of the Jews by the Roman Empire.
The actors did a GREAT JOB. But, the Heart and Soul of this Stellar series is AARON SORKIN. Wonder if HE could be persuaded to run for President in 2024 as an Independant ? He is obviously far and away a better choice than Joey Trump or Donny Biden !
I know people are mad at Prentiss and JJ here, but like... every WORD they speak I hear the writers trying to justify their own plots 🤣 This was a cruel thing for them to do to the whole team, but since the writers didn't know if CBS was gonna hire Paget back or not, they needed to get rid of her without killing her AND they needed to justify her absence from the team. Prentiss loved the team too much to want to leave it, and we all know it. So they faked Prentiss's death to enable her to leave but WITHOUT creating plots where the rest of the team would go looking for her, trying to help her. They knew Paget was fired, but they also knew that CBS might change their minds later (like they clearly did immediately) and would need a nice way to bring Prentiss back. I will COMPLETELY AGREE with the sentiment that they glossed over it all too fast, they made the team get over it and move on FAR FAR too fast. But it felt to me like the writers wanted to pretend this never happened... like, the ENTIRETY of Paget's and AJ's firing 😅 like they wanted to gloss over it and return to the norm now that Paget was back, but that was doing a disservice to the characters, because they didn't get to process anything that happened from it. This is one of my biggest criticisms of CM as a whole honestly. LET YOUR CHARACTERS PROCESS THINGS. LET THEM SIT WITH THINGS. Don't just move on to the next horrible, traumatizing thing immediately! I know CM is a very episodic show, but like LET YOUR CHARACTERS FEEL THEIR EMOTIONS. And HOLY SHIT GET THEM THERAPY.
