Welcome to my channel. I put some of my most memorable moments of true excitement here: the fierce overtakes, ruthless defendings, and spectacular hotlaps. I try to stay away from failz, lolz crashes and controversies as much as possible, although admittingly they are part of the game too. If you like what you saw, please subscribe too ;)

My favorite drivers in the 90s growing up were Jeff Gordon and Paul Tracy. Tracy was so wild out there, either win it or bin it. So much fun.

As a long time fan, I chuckled at how poor Paul had so many crashes that at one time, he was nicknamed Capt. Crunch. Sometimes, his luck was just AWFUL. You would sit there, wondering if the gods were just out to get him, LOL... Still, he is one of my favorite drivers and Canada should be proud of him. I rate him even higher than Jacques Villeneuve.

If Paul Tracy wasn't a loose cannon he would have won 3-4 titles. He was fast, agressve, determined. Nobody gave more than him but he couldn't harnesses it like he needed to win championships. But who cares, he was amazing and won tons of races.

I've seen old footage of Nigel Mansell during his first year at Williams and Nelson Piquet couldn't stand him because he upstaged him so many times. The rivalry between them was legendary. They fought each other on the track so much that it was NORMAL to see them banging wheels on purpose. I can't believe the FIA let the fighting go on that long. I guess they thought it was good for ratings but there is such thing as too much drama on the track.

Got to meet Paul. I won (only thing I've ever won 🤣) a raffle at my barber shop at the time "Sport Clips" who was sponsoring him for the nascar Busch series in 2004 at Daytona. I sat in the pits with the team and their spouses. What an experience.....unfortunately he didn't do very well in the race due to no fault of his own. Great memories

His bad luck was quite well known to me. I sometimes would sit there, wondering how everything could go so well and BAM! Bad luck just throws a grenade at him. I've lost count of how many races he COULD have won. He's definitely a much better driver than Jacques Villeneuve.

The funniest quote about Paul Tracy was when Alex Tagliani said of Tracy after an altercation, "I said he should wear a straight jacket because that's the only thing that could keep him under control." I heard that and just about lost it.

I'm not sure. The rule book was badly written. Here's the thing, there's often a gap between when the yellow SHOULD be displayed and when it ACTUALLY is. The book was saying that they were enforcing from when it actually displayed, which I don't know when it was. I tried to you look at replays, and it should be displayed before he finished the overtaking. Anyway, that's an argument about 0.0371 seconds. I think the indy 500 should have come clean that it was that close.

I saw that race and when they robbed him, that was it. I quit watching the Indy race ever since. Such a political farce and Tony George deserves the blame since he never hesitates to instigate bad blood between the two organizations.

@mikeharris3016
@mikeharris3016 7 лет назад
You sound pretty upset, Paul Tracy is one of the greatest North American race car drivers of all time. Did he crash a lot? Of course, but that's because he was willing to do whatever it takes to win. A lot of drivers current and past have great respect and admiration for him. Open wheel racing needs more drivers like him. You could argue that if he stuck with Penske he would be considered the greatest, he probably would've won multiple Indy 500's and multiple championships. Penske to this day says that Paul Tracy was one of the greatest drivers he's ever had race for him, and it wasn't that long of a stint.
