I share my experiences here and try to teach what I've learned and share my thoughts about the things I know about. I'd also love to learn more and more from people who know things more than I do.
Contrary to many other commenters here, this video gives a pretty good breakdown of some of the Techno genres. I first heard Techno music after arriving in Goa in early Dec. 1991 after spending the previous five and half months traveling all around India with my girflriend of the time, Sandra Grulli. (Including our 1 month in Goa, we spent 6 and half months riding 16,000 kms on an LML Vespa, plus train hops, through the National Capital Territory(Delhi), Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujurat, Madyha Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Goa. The techno parties in Goa in Dec. 1991 were superb. From 1992 to 1997 I organised some great house and warehouse techno parties in Melbourne, Australia with 100 to 1200 guests. We attended the very first Earthcore Party that was held in early 1992 in Toolangi State Forest. There were only 150 people there. It was organised by Spiros Boursinos (R.I.P.) and Pip Darvall. Anyway, my favourite tracks from the list on this video are: (1) "Children" by Robert Miles (2) "The Acid" (T78 Remix) by "A*S*Y*S. BTW, you don't need to be on drugs to enjoy Techno music. The last time I had recreational drugs of any kind was in 1999. 😎 Adam Neira Founder of World Peace 2050 Founded April 2000 Paris - Jerusalem - Melbourne
just found you, nice btw insutrial techno was played on the animated series of samuri jack, there is an episode wich he's forced to rave with this type of techno
the bad thing is that subclasses are toooooo many than these and you start to get confused.deep down dirty garage kitchen wc dark heavy ........fack them.....music is music whatever her name or genre is!back in my days there was Rave and Techno. after that came techno and million subclasses of Rave and now you call everything Techno???? Trance,House,Tech house ARE NOT techno, its RAVE. If you want techno go to Dr Alban etc.
Not Jeff Mills for Detroit techno ? And Inner City is a commercial try for brit market made by Kevin Saunderson, not very representative of Detroit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DwpedKWwS3w.htmlsi=ABUrgdakFIHFl0s9 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RFTEu0ZS-Xg.htmlsi=VraInimL6VP6rEn7
Heeyy, another 5 months old AI channel spewing bullshit, complete with a slight accent to make it sound more convincing. To whom it may concern: There's browser extension that allow you to block YT "channels" like this one so they never show up again.
It's been quite a while seeing such a bad video about techno. Calling Inner City's "Good Life" techno was already ridiculous but "Children" by Robert Miles!? Did you even hear of Frankfurt and Berlin school? Clueless and offensive.
It seems to me that the channel manager is still beginning to discover the true essence of Techno, he needs to have more knowledge. It's impressive that none of all the examples are credible lol. for example the best subgenres of techno from the nineties Detroit Techno and Acid Techno didn't get any of them right lol
So you got TRANCE TECHNO (Wth is that even?) but you don't have HARDCORE TECHNO (aka Hardcore/Gabber). You don't have Schranz Techno, you don't have Swedish Techno. Cybotron - Cosmic Cars is definitely Electro (also called Electopop sometimes) and not techno, just compare it to Kraftwerk, Anthony Rother, Egyptian Lover etc... The minimal Techno examples could've been way better than using Ritchie Hawtin's music which is early 90's, more like Detroit era. The Swedish sound for some reason ended up in Industrial Techno which is not true at all. And don't even get me started about the acid part...
Hold your horses Bro....... You cant make a ten minute video with all subgenres and with 3 examples of TRAXs Just make a video of your definition of Techno Im not expert of Techno(im listening from 1991-my first experience was Techno Trax compilation) ,but this video wasnt so bad SUN in SOUL Man
friend, this is a failure, unfortunately. or is this some big trolling? Inner City - Detroit techno?? This is a house classic, actually. And tech house is definitely closer to house and not techno Is Inspector Norse tech house?? Hahaha. This is nu-disco
Your acid techno sounds more like full on psytrance. And not a single track from the liberator/stay up for ever boys or smitten record labels. Hard techno had no Lab4 and sounded more like acid techno for two tracks. Detroit didn't have a single track but Jeff mills. With one track sounding more like from Afrika boombaataa/the bronx than Detroit. Robert hood and plastic man are more Detroit techno than minimal The progressive tracks are all more minimal techno tracks Robert mills in dream house. Chican saltwater is just trance. Where's the deep techno And melodic techno
