Hi there, we're Stagg Design: interior designer + general contractor = a married couple of chronic remodelers who are raising three little girls and growing a design product business. We believe home is the most important place on the planet. Here we share client projects, our own home renovation, DIY tutorials, and life hacks to improve your home and everyday. Because when you you love your home, it changes your life. We're speaking from experience and we've documented the renovation of our mid-century ranch home in Salt Lake City, the #staggreno.
We know our stuff when it comes to DIY and design and hope our channel gives you the courage (and maybe the kick in the pants) you need to tackle your project.
We did this with our pergola last year. We painted the galvanized 10 foot pipe (bought at Home Depot) with rustoleum black spray paint. This year they are rusting right through the paint. They have now gone through a winter and I’m very disappointed. I’m in the process of making curtains for them and I’m not really sure what to do. We also used drop cloths last year by the end of the summer and they had mildew on them. I’m curious how long your pipes lasted before rusting.
I bought patio indoor outdoor curtains. Inexpensive if you have large large windows, and after you cut to size one side is already hemmed. For my bedroom I actually found panels that were 42 inches, and my windows were 42 and a half!
For anyone wanting to do this who is new. Their corner was either a perfect 90 degrees, or they didn't show a step. Never seen a corner in a room be perfectly square. Even from the top of the wall down the angle may change. Usually for something like this you put some kind of 'frame' in place that accommodates for the corner not being square and then you build off that frame.
I would like to do this and line them so they will be white or cream on outside. Has anyone done that? Also, does this hold up for everyday use? Very nice tutorial thank you.
Great video, thank you. What does the sun do to the glue over time. My windows get a lot of sun and I'd hat to see them start unraveling over time. Thanks again.
The issue I’ve been having with my inserts is they start to lump up, even when I don’t sleep on them or wash them the stuffing inside the inserts starts to lump up and I hate it cause it makes the pillows look very unappealing when you put the pillow case on
This project is exactly what we were looking for, but it took us the longest time to figure out how to get the control string around to the front until we watch the end of your video very closely and saw that you brought it from behind 🙀
Question for you. You did a news story in Utah about my family with my son we thought had brittle bobe disease for channel 2. He ended up having a terminal condition. I windered if you by chance have a copy of that news story? Last name Kooyman
