Soulful Sydney-based singer/guitarist Anna Salleh. Brazilian Bossa nova, samba, Latin jazz and much more - songs of beauty, sorrow, irreverence and joy! She is one of Australia's much-loved exponents of Brazilian jazz and other crossover music styles, including honey-smooth bossa nova, irrepressible samba, enchanting choro. Anna has spent time in Rio de Janeiro performing with local musicians and seeking out the wisdom of elders to deepen her understanding of Brazilian music. Anna's journey led to an ABC radio documentary, a show and two albums including the live recording 'A Felicidade' - 2012 and 'Gorgeous Songs from Brazil & Beyond' - 2016. Bossa nova pioneer, Roberto Menescal said of Anna that she comes to jazz with a Brazilian bias, with a natural groove that is in tune with Afro-Brazilian rhythms. "As we say: She plays a little drum at midnight. Makes a little macumba," he said. (Macumba is an African-Brazilian religion with rituals that include playing drums late at night).
I remember playing this in an ensemble rehearsal at music school, and I played what I would call a perfect guitar solo. There were students walking down the hall who popped their heads into the room to see who played that solo. That was of my proudest moments. I don't take the credit. I could never replicate it again, the music just used me as a conduit and then went on it's way. If you know, you know.
Anna Salleh also a writer works for the deep state. She gets paid a lot by liberal magazines to say that synthetic fragrances don't cause cancer and that people with sensitivities are WRONG about this and that it MUST be something else. Synthetic fragrance comes from petroleum based oils and have been PROVEN to cause cancer amongst other things. She ALL about the dollar bill over helping humanity at large. There is a warm place in hell for people like her.

portuguese lyrics : Manhã, tão bonita manhã De um dia feliz que chegou O sol no céu surgiu E em cada cor brilhou Voltou o sonho então Ao coração Depois deste dia feliz Não sei se outro dia haverá É nossa manhã, tão bela afinal Manhã de carnaval Canta o meu coração A alegria voltou, tão feliz A manhã desse amor
The comment below this one says it perfectly: The fact that it is in Spanish just adds to its weight. You make mastered this art to perfection Anna as have Xiong Badar and Wan. And your presentation is down-to-earth like you are sitting around a camp fire...no frills....what music should be!
Your voice and the harmonies you use give you that 'good music tremble' where your whole body responds and the gates of emotion open. This is real music .. not what passes for 'music' these days! Great work by 'the friends' too!
I used to play the solo guitar version of this song, and your voice, with the music and everything make me feel delightful every time I come back here. Thanks with all love!!
