I got a full scholarship in Japan for my bachelors. I accepted the offer because as of the time l was extremely young. My impression is China, Japan and South are great study destinations not for career growth. Those countries are advanced and have state of the art facilities to help you succeed academically speaking. Nearly all my friends both master's & phd holders are teaching English. You made a wise decision.
You didn't expose the fact that you didn't look towards China in your search for postgraduate scholarship. Tell us how your publications caught the attention of a Chinese professor who reached out to you and encouraged you to apply and expressed his desire to partner with you in your academic journey.
l discovered that many Australian Universities have priority research areas/projects which you must tailor your application to in order to be considered for a full scholarship. I'm a business/economics major and hoping to pursue a masters by research. It's a bit difficult compared to science related fields but l'm optimistic. If possible highlight some Universities that are open to direct applications. Dealing with agents is a nightmare and some are fraudulent.
You are very correct… most of those priority research areas have the most funding opportunities and also have easier path to PR compared to other courses. Business/economics is very tricky and I’ll do some research on the area. Pls do ur own research and don’t rely 100 percent on agents. Everything u need is online, and u can even apply for ur visa urself … Peace ✌️
@@iykmanTV Thanks brother, actually l'm researching deligently. At the same time, l'm keeping my options open because l'm aware funds are allocated as the University sees fit. I'll grab any opportunity by the neck if it appears on my radar. I don't mind taking courses with easier pr possibilities if there's any, without switching drastically to other fields like medicine, nursing, engineering etc .
Thanks for the info. Please, what of someone that will be rounding up a Bsc program by January. Can he/she apply? Also, can someone that studied mass communication, apply to study nursing?
Oh yeah it was smooth.. it was an earth observation conference mainly focused on the emerging techniques of satellite and drone technologies in monitoring the environment
Hello my dear brother, pls do not misunderstand the message. I’m not claiming to be God and I understand that God has a plan for us all. I only provided raw truths as to the current realities of relocating abroad at that age. I’m not forcing anyone to take the advice, the video was purely for information sake, and to encourage pple to look before they leap. I hope u understand my message
Getting an advanced degree like a PhD is a career-based decision. The key word here is career. So if someone wants to do a PhD, it doesnt matter how old they are. My advice is for the person to carry on with the PhD within or outside Nigeria. With that degree, he or she can work in any country where such skills are required. My advice was targeted at persons approaching 40 who are planning to start afresh, maybe do a Bsc or master. PhD is different.
@@iykmanTV thanks for your constructive input. The person will carry on with the PhD. As for Australia, are there platforms for PhD holders from advanced countries to transition to Australi
There are strong points in your presentation. But this points do not apply in all cases. The issue here is what has God destined for you . Simply put, what is the plan for you.lf you put God first in all you do and He approves your movement/ relocation to another country with better opportunities and good standards of living, you will succeed no matter the odds. Again someone in the age of 35 or above leaving his country is doing so due to circumstances beyond his or her control . Anyone that wants to migrate and you have the support of the Almighty God ,please do so without hesitation. Age is just a number.
Yeah. I totally agree with you Ezeikel. I believe in following God's direction in life. However, it is important for us to do our own part by planning very well before we take action. The phrase 'look before you leap' applies here. There are so many 'pastors' who claimed that God directed them to get married to a particular person, they went ahead without doing any research and finally ended up in bad marriages and broken homes. So my point is, even though we are all Christians and believe in God, it is pertinent for us to apply our God-given wisdom in critical life choices, do our own research and still ask for his guidance and Grace to do His will. You made a good point and i am very happy about your keen observation. Cheers mate !!!
Yes, this is true for most universities in Australia. They tend to restrict students from Nigeria and some other countries from directly applying and mandates them to use agents.
This matter is one of the reasons of the protests. Other matters are the cultural history of the country being eroded. Crime rates are through the roof. Schools are full. Hospitals are full. Prisons are full. Tax is high. Rent is high. And there is simply not enough space on a small island for all these people. They also don't appear to be very intelligent as demonstrated, as they can't understand the negative issues they are causing. The riots were about the government and police who are not doing what the tax payers are paying them to do, and allowing this irresponsible madness to continue.
The way I see it, the misinformed ignorant people are being controlled to cause disruption and civil unrest in the UK because none of this makes sense. A person working in the UK who isn't from the UK still helps boost the economy of the UK. The protest is unfounded. We should protest against taxes and borders. Not brothers and sisters who are building a life for themselves by supporting a country whose people can't do the jobs they can't or don't qualify for. *mic drop*
I have ND and Hnd certificate with working experience but I'm interested in masters by research how can you assist as I don't have any publication or research experience apart from my school project. Also can you be my mentor
Your ability to get admitted to do a masters by research program will also be based on your CGPA. Though i will advise that you try to get at least one publication before you apply. it will greatlly increase your chances of getting in.
Glad to hear you studied Geoinformatics and surveying. Thats my course too and am planning to relocate to Australia. Did you use student route or work?
@@iykmanTV Do you have a telegram or WhatsApp group, I would like to join. Hope the profession is lucrative that side? cuz am looking at doing MSc on GIS related course over there.
These scholarships are they always full because all the scholarships I’m seeing for a masters degree are always 10%, 15%, 20% off and are automatic upon application.
You are right… but there are few that are full… the trick is that they want u to do a research based masters to assess those ones.. so that’s one advice I like to give… consider doing a masters by research and I assure u can find a fully funded scholarship faster
@@iykmanTV I want masters by coursework🥲. Ike ime research adirom. But why do they want students to go through the research path. Are there any benefits because I know that one would be more intensive
The 35 year issue doesn’t stop u from applying . The issue only makes u ineligible to apply for the graduate visa to remain in Australia after ur studies.. but if u do a master by research or PhD, it won’t affect u
It is very difficult to do this, but not impossible.. but this will only be considered depending on ur reason for wanting to change to a permanent visa
