You are adorable. I did something similar to my builder grade half-bathroom. However, you have nice flooring; I have linoleum 😮. I painted the linoleum black and it actually looks okay.
I love the shape of the oval mirror, it would look really pretty with a vintage or antique frame. I actually have a pretty large antique oval shaped frame that I can imagine that mirror in haha. The mirror you replaced it with is STUNNING. This was such a wonderful transformation! I love the idea of a dark and moody powder room. Our next place I want to do a small bathroom in a dark dusty rose/plum color. This video was so inspiring!
I think it would be really awesome to trim out the window. Take it from “builder-grade” to custom, with little time and money. Something craftsman style with a nice ledge and of course paint it the same color as the walls or with a nice dark stain. When you get the extra cash of course! :) love it!
And add a little greenery from outside and put it in a vase and set it on the counter or toilet to fill the gap. Or maybe a small picture. Lol! Or maybe a small antique stool.
You left a dent from the light you took out, you need to tape and texture the wall. You never use fingernail polish remover to tile , vinyl, or wood floors. Use something to cover floors before painting.
Thank you! It’s actually not a print. I scored it at goodwill, however I found out it’s by an Artist in South Africa who makes figures out of butterfly wings. So those are real butterfly wings that make the shape of a woman.
I can’t believe you put dark chocolate gloss paint in that tiny bathroom….you need to get rid of that color ASAP…never put a dark color in a tiny space! You need to start over !!
I really enjoyed this video! I love the amount of talking, because youre taking us along on your train of thought. Bravo for the editing and genuine feeling so early in your channel history :-)
Good paint color choice. Suggest painting the ceiling and fan, too. Check out bronze outlet switches (same color used on door hinges?). Next time you paint, consider covering your floor with either a drop cloth or brown contractor’s paper. It’s never a good idea to paint without floor protection. Yes to custom color-coordinated Roman blinds (your neighbor has a window that has a view to your powder room, so privacy is a must!). Your linen stand top is a perfect perch to add a green plant!
You did well! Be very proud of yourself. I had A neighbor a long time ago who invited me to her apartment to show me their bathroom that someone had painted dark brown and it was definitely not beautiful or elegant like yours so I was very anxious waiting for the reveal! But you proved if done correctly it can look absolutely stunning. 😁😀😁
Barista is a lovely hue. I swatched it last spring, in the process of creating an exterior color story with paint, but it was the wrong undertone. Black, brown, and orange are my alltime fave colors, so love seeing a rich brown being used. A lot of folks have some misconceptions about dark colors that I hope go away.
