After over 3 weeks of no RU-vid, I've spent my first day at home as a recuperation day and caught up with all i've missed from your two channels and a couple others. Now i'm ready to get back into life's daily routines again grrrr! Think i'd like this place Jaca more than Pamplona, looks great, old, quieter.... more my style. Looking forward to more of this journey and at the same time thinking it a shame, that I don't film my own journey's, but i'm not a techy sort of guy. Good luck with the further developments with the new job Faye. Hope all goes well.
No your rite not many speak English at all although we can both get by (mainly faye) in Spanish as her brother lived in Spain so she picked a fair bit up.
Hi you two loving the videos so far hope there is more still to come it looks like a very nice place to visit away from the Benidorm esq coastal resorts. Great news about the work front Faye hope that all works out for you both. The Benelli seems to be a good buy so far Shaun is it a keeper or will you be tempted by something else in 6 months to a year
HI Guys always interested in what route you took and the name of the hotel. Would love to ride to SPAIN as the roads look great as does Jaca. Cheers and safe joiurney
As always we didn't have any plans or routes , we only booked hotels a couple of hours before arriving so all made up as we went along but on the final episode we'll show the route and hotels etc 👍🏍
Hi, great video as always. Shaun, I have the same bike, and loving it. How do you find the slow speed stuff, mine seems to hunt for fuel a bit. Also which touring screen did you go for please. Keep up the great vlogs and ride safe. Thanks.
Yeah putting a can and getting it mapped next month as it releases another 12bhp and smooths the low speed hunting out , I've put a puig touring screen on it
Hi both so lovely trip. As for selling the GS is it really worth the price when you have Faye on the 500. It’s better to have fit for purpose cheaper bike imo. Had a couple of exp bike in my life only to stare at them in the garage esp in winter and think that much money sat there. Some abs fab 2nd hand bikes for £6k. New bikes taking the p###. My last bike was v strom650 and all the bike I ever needed tbh esp at my age. Akin to the benelli but imo a better bet because benelli unknown vstrom world travellers.
Yeah every1 to their own , i did 10k miles on the gs and still made a few quid on it , as for the benelli it's got a kawasaki engine and handles much better than a vstrom because of the smaller front wheel but it's good to be different it makes the world go round 👍🏍
Looked like a epic trip! Sad you had to shorten your trip, very happy for you guys about the employment news. I said this before, Spain looks a lot like walking around Cuba. Can defiantly see the Spanish influence. Take care.
Brought back some good memories. We traveled the same road to Jaca on my GS 1200 18 years ago for our 25th wedding anniversary. The whole area was great to ride. Good luck with the new job to Faye. It’s a pity the holiday was cut short, but as they say, income comes before a holiday.
Well….that’s you officially opened up that Pandoras Box……hehe….I was thinking about you two today as I was out for my two hour ride all over Jersey, wondering just how comfortable your seats are, you doing more miles…..my derrière feels a tad numb after two hours…..and I got cramp in my left leg…..gee I am falling apart….any cramps guys and suggestions to not get this….x
Tbh the Benelli was mega comfortable with no complaints although like u say a few hours in the saddle had Faye wanting a break but that's just bike fitness more than anything 👍🏍
Hi Shaun + Faye, looks amazing place and good roads to ride on. Enjoy your selves and enjoy the ride to Andora. Faye's happy doing long distance riding and riding on the continent and your happy with the new Beneli looks like a good buy. Great news on Faye with a new job , happy for you. enjoy the rest of your holiday and catch you soon, Take care
will be there in 2 1/2 weeks time and staying in the same hotel as you guy's not our first time in Jaca it is one of our favourite haunts. Hope you are doing the N260 old road to Andorra the views are unbeleavable take it easy and stay focused in the mountains and on the those hairpins. Have a great time in the tunnel this Saturday 31st ready to go now. Cheers Graham and Sue.🙂🙂
Having a cracking trip guys. Tbh that was the only hotel available in jaca with parking as we only booked it a couple of hours before arriving and virtually everywhere else was booked up 👍🏍
Ah, the A21 / N240. With your back to the lake ( Embalse de Yesa ) you can often see European Vultures soaring the thermal updrafts at the mountains. Lovely stuff.
Hi shaun and faye..Nice ride faye full of confidence now .and hopefully the job comes off...as you say mate work got to come first ..can I just rub it in and say have not got that problem now 😂😂.sorry. take care both ..the old fella
Hi guys that looked a great route to take to jacka ( acka). I'm over the moon for Faye getting her job back i really am. Even though you had to cut short your tour. Well I'm thinking you did 😂. At least you're incomes will be sorted now for next 😏😏😏😂😂. And life can get back to normal for the both of you.. look after yourselves guy's. Take care...
Hoping to get back to the Picos next year, I may have to sell a kidney mind you with the prices and that’s for this year so I expect next year will be even more expensive. I admire your honesty Sean re the sale of the GS which if I had had the money I would’ve definitely been interested but it wasn’t to be. We used to ski in Soldeu ( excuse spelling) which we loved unfortunately snow conditions on two consecutive years weren’t the best. Great to know you both got home safely.
Nice!!!! been over via the Eurotunnel few times but looking forward to a 1st virgin shhlap across to Espana with the lads next nice videos without the faff if u know wot I mean ,enjoy your holiday
In 2023, we came back to Portsmouth on the Santona. Can only agree with your comments, the ship got us to the UK. As you say, very little to do, most boring ferry we have ever been on. One last point, it seemed to us it was a lot slower than the Pont Aven. Looks like you were having a great time though in Spain.
Brilliant folks… we’ve been there few yrs back. Sailing can be a bit of a pain specially if seas are rough. Delighted youz got away on da Dick Van Dykes 🏍️ and Mother Nature shining down on you both. Scenery is always very lovely and roads are really good. Enjoy urselves, av a few scupereniessssss 🍺🍹be safe and mind da mince pies and that dodgy digit Shaun.
Great video guys, even got a couple of mentions lol, didn’t seem like many bikes on there either… I’m off to Spain myself next week with Pete english off roading for a week, look forward to the next one, cheers Simmo
Don't know the exact model as at work but we both were rev it mesh jackets mega comfy , will put fill name up when I get home as always getting asked about them
@paullee6663 Sorry, I watched it in two halves and commented on the restaurant too soon. Didn't realize they are using another ferry to get to Santander. I thought you were on the Pont Aven. Looks a nice run to Pamplona. I think I'd be heading that way if I were to go again.
