Since 2020 i started designing sounds for Grammy winners and major recording studios linn drums and any eprom based drum machines. I am there go to guy for eproms and custom sounds. I am the Linn drum guru. I owned a Linn drum since 1999. I design sounds for a linn drum, simmons, dmx, dx, drumtraks. I have 1000s of binary files, I also have original binary files from the 80s.
I absolutely wouldn't be able to design and program without my obehiem prommer. its the only way i can take larger samples and program them into small 4/8bit eproms.
If you're interested in any custom work for you dmx, dx, drumtraks, linn drums feel free to email me, going.up.up.up.up@gmail.com i have 1000 of different kinds of binary files.
@@adamharris7775 Linn 9000 Sound a lot like the Linn drum. I can’t really tell the difference in the binary files. I will take a look into this. Thx for the recommendation.
It’s actually a tb-303 with a quicksilver midi mod, controlling a really cheap Casio via midi. I didn’t really know much about music theory then. I just would play notes all the time in c scale (with out really knowing) this I made about 8 years ago.
I finally fitted these and did mess up on the two claps eprom. Now it only plays one sound. Will try to solder a new leg to it tomorrow. The kick eprom that is extra is a long one so it won’t t fit for the first sound.
@@ericascott9413 thx. Right now I’m in the process of making every single Linn drum sound ever made. I broke the slot on my SD on my laptop. I set everything by up to record but have some issues. So far I have lots of Linn drum sounds for the druntraks. I never even heard them before. I love it. It’s my dream.
The habit was my first chase bliss. I think I owned it for 2 years? I realized I barely touched the surface of it. I recently got the chase bliss midi box now I have it synced to my daw. all in time. Mind blowing. It has 6 modifiers so you can change it into six different pedals. The best thing, it has 2 filters a low pass & high pass filter. Also it can loop and you can record an entire song inside of it. You have to study this pedal. It’s very intense. But here’s the kicker. As just a staight up pedal as the very basic functions are amazing. You don’t need to learn all the advance stuff about it. You can just plug into it and get good sounds!!
Oh the habits not on in this video. The boards of Canada type sounds we’re actually the warped viynal hi-fi. And the gen loss mkii. To achieve this sound you have to activate many different dip switches. But the habit can do a warble a lot like this!! You need the bounce engaged in the modifier on the habit. It has a Lofi setting.
@@treesurgeon2441 yeah me too. I sat down with the chase bliss warped viynal, I didn’t like it at all. I was going to sell it. But before I did, I wanted to learn everything about it. And since I was on a roll I wanted to learn everything about the other chase bliss pedals I have. Now I get it. In my humble opinion, they have to be the best pedals in the world.
Thx. Instagram deleted my account. So I’m going to post more videos here. This was my first custom set I did. I redesigned it to make it hit harder. I made some of the toms where the start to distort like an electric guitar.
Bro. This is my old video. My new 808 sounds like thunder. I learned how to make EPROMs hit harder. And how to put larger sounds in smaller chips using a oberhiem prommer.
I redesigned it. This is an older video. I spent 100s of hours designing sounds since I last posed this. I got better. To be honest this sound like crap compared to what I learned now. I haven’t been posting much. But I found out how to make the EPROMs punchyier. Where they knock even harder in a drumtracks. And I learned how to get longer samples on samples chips. I’m almost 100% done with the 808 for a drumtracks. (With all the sounds) I didn’t know how to program the crash and sound like a tr808. But man I got it now!!!
That sounds like the drum beats for Prince's song 'IT' off 'Sign Of The Times'. You should recreate that beat for a video. That beats on that song is incredible.
Ok. Sure I will recreate it. I redesigned the LM-1 sounds for the drum tracks. Because the OG LM-1 sounds wouldn’t fit inside the drum tracks. Now I made it where it really sounds like prince. I will program some EPROMs then make a video.
Yeah wow that does sound really good ! And it doesn’t quite sound exactly like a dmx or linn either but somehow a merge of both .. the kicks seem to thump a lot harder
I swapped some of the sounds on my drumtraks for lm2 sounds as well. However, it sounds completely different from a lm2. Not in a bad way, just different.
All depends where you got you chips from. Some people don’t have the original binary files. There’s a video I posted how to make a druntraks sound like prince. You take the snare/rim and put it inside the perc1 or Perc 2. Then you will sound like a Linn drum.
