Hey. Thank you so much for your video. I live on Orange County, California and I’m planning to go to COTA next year (2025). I’ve never been in a MotoGP race. I’m wondering if you bought the general 3 day tickets ? Do you have any suggestions where to stay close to COTA? Thank you again
Absolutely peach of a machine!! I’m 165cm tall and find it difficult to pull it off its side stand. Do you have the same issue? Also would you recommend to change the no. of rear sprockets teeth to 45 from 43 to give it a bit more low end torque. I currently ride a scrambler 803.
Just bought the Connie and went on a tour down to the Bearstooth with 3 other guys on BMW, 800, 900, and a 1300S. The 800 was vibrating at 120 km, the 900 was uncomfortable at anything over 120 km and the seat was terrible, the 1300s was in the same league at speeds over 120km. However, the boys on the 800 and 900 did enjoy the twisties alot more than I did on the Bearstooth otherwise the Kaw just ate the miles up, fast and comfortable.
I Love My 2014 72 Sportster I have a Windshield and Leather saddle bags! btw: I’m 5 feet tall and I even had to lower my suspension so I could reach the ground. Also, my bike is louder because I switched pipes That’s a Beautiful bike! 🤙🏻
You made the right decision, I too considered both the Kawasaki 1000 SX vs the Suzuki GSX S 1000 GT Plus. I also researched them both and also found the Suzuki GSX S 1000 GT Plus to be the best value , and best looking as well as the better bike of them both . The best bang for the dollar. I also compared the Yamaha Tracer 900 gt plus as well and found it to have too much Technology in it and not as sleek either.
I got the exact same bike, definitely a performance bike and love the speed and handling. I do love the mid-size baggers to, thanks for your video and presentation
I have the exact same model. The top case acts as a rudder at freeway speeds. I thought my FJR was more stable. But I do love this bike. Sadly, I can go to the grocery store and fit $120 of groceries in the cases 😅.
@@SanFranciscoRiderr I’m riding a 2017 bmw R9T it’s similar, good ergonomic hard seat. Can I ask is the gearing good on the multi for highway? Mine even though I’m in sixth gear I’m searching for a taller gear?
His point is 100% accurate, the pegs, bars, rider triangle feel great, however the seat feels like it’s made of plastic sculpted to look like a motorcycle seat. Definitely needs more cushion.
6th gear on multi is peppy and racy and wants to rev (similar to sportsbikes) vs say nc750 or ktm superduke where 6th gear is low revs and not as punch as the mutlistrada 6th gear - overall i like the 6th gear on multistrada
Nice bike my friend, I have exactly the same one. I’m also thinking of changing the seat to the ‘high’ seat. I have a question for you: On the original seat, I feel a slight slope towards the front that makes me slide towards the tank and ‘pulls the skin of my buttocks back,’ which becomes uncomfortable and even painful after more than an hour of riding. I was wondering if the high seat has a more neutral/horizontal slope? And is it really more comfortable?
the high seat does is more horizontal and neutral. Its only about 50% more comfortable than stock seat. i feel the padding is stiff and stiffer than the regular seat, not as comfortable as my streetfighter seat. if the padding was less stiff i would have given it a higher score, i can live with the improvement now, not 100 percent satisfied but ok with small-med improvement
@@SanFranciscoRiderr Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Glad to know it’s more horizontal, I will order it today. A new seat with firmer padding can take a few rides to ‘break in’ and shape itself, it will probably get better over time, but even if it’s 50%, I’ll take it.
I went from the Ninja 1000sx to the Suzuki GT. The Suzuki is so much better, less rider aids so it's more of a riders bike. The wooden brake, ignore what people say. It's not true. It's a perfectly adequate break. If you really want to upgrade it, just put some braided hoses on and it's absolutely fine. This seems to be the only thing that people moan about is the wooden break. This is all because I keep hearing it on social media. Don't get me wrong. The Kawasaki is still a good bike, but the Suzuki just thrashes it.
I think you meant to say 937 cc L-Twin. 🙂Beautiful country to ride. I had the opportunity to live just outside Sacramento (former Mather AFB) for a little over a year back in 89'-91'. This bike is on my radar for an upgrade from my current Bonnie T120. Enjoy!!
I am 5' 8" and it's easy to ride, its not a tall bike. They designed it with the Asian market in mind as they are selling more bikes out there and wanted it accessible to shorter people. Now the the BMW 1000 XR I couldn't even get my tip toes down. Now THAT is a tall bike lol
I go into the city every week or 2 for work. Thinking about buying my first bike (Streetfighter V2) I have experience when I lived in Thailand, so not a total beginner. That being said, how is the parking with bikes? My office in is the Salesforce tower. We have a garage I park my Porsche in, but I asked the valet and they said they do not allow bikes.
plenty of public street parking available near salesforce tower so much cheaper than cars.....i always use these with no issues with older bikes........challenge is streetfighter V2 is a hot bike and suspect to theft
I bought the FJR the first year it was available in the USA and needed a 500-dollar deposit to preorder! I drove it for 2 or three years and the key lock cylinder came out of its moorings on the hard luggage and i needed to duct tape the pannier closed. My throttle hand was numb after an hours drive from vibration! The Yamaha was shit and i never went back after test driving the concours14. I am on my third concours after hitting a deer with my first one and foolishly trading the second one for a BMW r1200rt! No comparison from yamahaaaaa crap to Connie heaven!!
I live to ride the Sequoia NF and the Sierra NF! I enjoy my Africa Twin AS ES DCT just the same! Not as peppy as your Ducati to be sure, but I love enjoying CarPlay on my solo rides. 😊
@@SanFranciscoRiderr I live 20 minutes from the entrance to Sequoia NP (Tulare County). Come join me for a ride sometime. I think you took your Teneré once near the Trail of 100 Giants right?
Ireland 🇮🇪 checking in. Howdy . A picking up a SFV4 in December. Think I’m in agreement with you re suspension. I noticed ZERO difference in testing. If I closed my eyes (don’t do that folks 😂) I couldn’t tell you which I was riding 🤷♂️ it’s 2800€ difference here. That’ll pay for my insurance, a set of tires, the first service, bar end mirrors, carbon black exhaust cover and billet tank cover. MAYBE the electronic is warranted if you track the bike a lot and then drive home on the bike. Saves having to manually adjust each time. To add, I’m 105kg (230pounds). I Audi happen to prefer the black forks as opposed to the Ronald McDonald gold ones 😂
Do you think the streetfighter is worth it? Both of these bikes are "upright" ducatis, i have never ridden a streetfighter but i'm curious what is the difference between the two
Hey brother, it has been a while since I last watched one of your videos. I like the V-Twins over the V-4s too. But as always, I could ride any of them and be happy. You keep riding brother and live life fully. A heart attack and blood clots slowed me down for a year, but this summer, I am back on the bikes riding the mountains near Mt Lassen National Park. There is still a lot of snow on Lassen.. Take care brother.
great to hear from you dude ! was wondering where you wee - sorry to hear about heart glad you are riding again, will try to swing by to lassen on the multistrada !
