All that for one cable 🤦🤦🤦 If your cable pull is so difficult that you have to apply that much lubricant it means you haven’t sized your tube correctly for the amount of bends and cables in the run.

But how do we put rope in the conduit in the first place?
@abo3abid1
@abo3abid1 14 дней назад
Exactly why most people came here. After an extensive search, there seem to be 2 methods: A- first, vacuum the line from the exit side. Then, attach a small plastic bag fashioned to be a air bubble the same size as the conduit while tied to your pull rope (in the inlet side) then vacuum it through the line by repeating step one with the bubble in the inlet side of the conduit. B- the same steps,but by blowing through from the inlet side (instead of vacuuming it from the outlet) A technician who says he's done both methods says blowing is better that vacuuming. But this requires making a feeder contraption by using a slit in half a water bottle (if the think of it long enough, you'll figure out how) I hope this helps. If you don't get it. I don't mind explaining a bit more

@lavieinjuste 2 дня назад
@@abo3abid1 That's how I've always done it. Shop vac on one one end, and pull string with enough plastic bag tied to it to loosely fit in the conduit. If it's stubborn getting through the whole length, you can use the shop vac and compressed air on either end to increase the pressure differential.

Its the heavily ignored "optical audio" input on the back of 4th and 5th gen gaming consoles. That with component cables was the way to go in the mid to late 2000s. It could carry a clean digital sound, but not true surround sound. Thank god for HDMI.

This one is standard tactical. We do sell Mil-Tac assemblies which are double polyurethane and Kevlar jacketed. Those have been tested with tanks running over them and pivoting on top of them. They hold up and are designed for it. www.lanshack.com/MIL-TAC-TACTICAL-FIBER-OPTIC-ASSEMBLIES-C1265

Hey fiber tech here. Yes its true about the distance. It also depends on what type of fiber optic cable youre dealing with and you need to know what that type of fiber can push in terms of speed and distance. Om1 (legacy) cable you wont get 1gig past 700ft reliably due to the short and multiple wavelengths. Singlemode cable has as you guessed it a longer and single wavelength typically 1310 sometimes 1550 nm which can push it for miles and miles with longhaul sfp’s(gbic for the old IT guys). There is also a copper cable called game changer. This allows you to push past the 300ft mark to around 650ft depending on what poe type youre trying to run
@atlanshack
@atlanshack Год назад
Yes this is a very basic video. We'll continue to post more technical videos that get into the details of speed and distance. Thank you for commenting and providing valuable info though!

Is this for like pcs and internet?
@atlanshack
@atlanshack Год назад
For internet, networking, and PCs. It's not common but some some PCs can can be equipped to accept fiber direct.
@TheLololourdes

What about quality? I feel the quality on fiber optic is far inferior to copper.
@atlanshack
@atlanshack Год назад
It all depends on the jacket being used. Distribution fiber will hold up just as well and if it's armored will even be superior to copper in regards to durability.

Can I do this to extend my fiber by using ethernet cable? So by doing fiber to ethernet and then ethernet to fiber?

No that's a different product line. This is a Neutrik OpticalCON breakout box cable assembly. It takes your OpticalCON DUO, QUAD, or MTP and converts it to standard simplex connectors.
