They do that I'm rebuilding one right now a lot of times when that happens it has went into reduced engine power check all of your abs sensor plugs check your check your grounds spice packs make sure you don't have any knock sensor codes throttle body plug and foot pedal plug for corrosion and make sure you have communication with all the modules I had a lost communication with the traction control and I finally replaced abs hub bearing and no more reduced engine power but a lot of the times it could be your hub bearings from hitting a bump will cause this r a high temperature running of the engine causes oil to lose viscosity and make lifters tap causing it to throw a knock sensor code
Check for batt acid that may have dripped down on the harnesses beneath the batt and caused a problem it’s also where the PCM is located just lower and on the outside of the frame rail. if you pull the batt and tray you can check all the main harness connections under the tray.
the crank pulley/ harmonic balancer bolt is insanely difficult to get out without holding the flywheel or the actual pulley... super easy with an impact (if you have the room). If you know the car and have done it before 30 minutes isnt impossible but usually takes an hour if its in a tight spot lol. Good job man!
hey brother, if you havent already, get those valve guides replaced/ upgraded before its too late! LS7's love to wreak havoc when you least expect it. Intake valve will drop and you'll need a new motor.
