Security clearance denial or revocation can happen without a good reason (point of view). I held a security clearance with DOD for a while, a three letter agency revoked mine for some really dumb stuff, when I say dumb, I mean really dumb that you would think a world renown three letter agency would not make. example: on my military SF-86 one questions is very strange, the question is, have you ever received a passport in a foreign country, now notice, its not from a foreign country, which I said yes, (US embassy in a foreign country) in the three letter agency I put no since the question is (from) a foreign country, they accused me of lying, instead of asking me about it, they flat out revoked it, I lost my job and it affected my reserve status military MOS (35P). that being said, I hired an attorney, and my appeal is still going on (going on 2 years), you have to be very careful, you have to know that an agency can mess up your career, you have to save enough money for plan-B, or try and stay in the military and chose a different career. I went from making 120k to barely cutting 45k.
