Excellent job explaining. I have a convertible and when I shut my door, the window comes buck to the top and doesn't stay secure and comes down a quarter inch. What is broken?
If you haven't figured it out what's broken is a bushing in the window motor on the regulator easiest way to fix is to get a new motor for the regulator or take apart your motor and buy the bushing to fix it but ur better off just getting a new regulator with the motor on it tbh
It ain't as easy as they make it look, came here to check if i had done something wrong but nay Turns out that the absolute monster rivets they use out of Factory isn't the hardest part, the worst part is if the door panels are bend, here you're looking at some work
Really nice clear job on the DIY, here's a tip, take it or leave it. If a project is more than 5 steps, don't call out the steps up to like 10, too many, nobody cares what step it is at that point, it's irrelevant and distracting but not totally bad just annoying ... other than that to, awesome, thanks just what I needed crisp and to the point.
The rivets were used at the factory for speed on installation. Go with short bolts and nuts if you want to make it easier for the next time the regulator needs to come out such as for the window motor replacement.
