I order the 2024 model today after watching 100's of videos of different models and most people say klima is nuts compared to rest of stuff, can't wait for it to get here. I see you have had yours for awhile, had any problems or tips? I guess break pad changing is a thing.
You wouldnt regret it! Great choice! Brakes will be squeeky after sometime, it's normal, the stock ones are sinthered/metal compound, which makes it squeeky naturally especially when it starts to get dirty. But on the other hand, they last longer than other pads. I am currently using ceramic compound which is much quieter. One and only issue i had, was the display broke. It happened 2 weeks after i rode it under heavy rain. Im pretty sure its water related issue. It was fully functional but the display is distorted, u can't read anything. I sent the display back to the seller and luckily they covered it under warranty. Once i got the new one back, i put silicone waterproof sealant on the gap between the screen and the hard plastic casing to prevent water from coming in. It's supposed to be ipx55 water resistant rating on the electric components, but i guess like any other products, there could be a bad batch or something. That's one thing i would recommend you do, just to avoid having the same problem like mine, or dont ride it in rain like i do.. haha
Great video. I’ve been shopping for a good do it all scooter for weeks and with the plethora of options out there I’ve narrowed it down to the Klima and the Mantis King GT. I like the GT because it’s about 4-5 lbs lighter and has a latch when you fold the neck for easier portability. I like the way the Klima looks better than the Mantis but that won’t affect my decision. Both seem to be really solid do it all scooters. Wish I could test ride both before deciding.
I was in the same dilemma. To choose between mantis king gt or the nami klima. At the time, both were on pre order here in OZ(no stock available), and the mantis king gt was the same $$ with the klima 25ah model. They are pretty much head to head when it comes to performance. I really like the color on the mantis, especially the gold on the swing arms. One big factor that made me go with the klima was the issues with the mantis king gt's neck breaking or cracking. I already dismissed that ossue as i thought it was already fixed by changing that part in the factory for new productions, but apparently it's still a thing. Not sure on newer releases now. I would suggest, join some groups on facebook dedicated for the nami and mantis king gt. Dont ask them which to get as they will definitely be bias with their answer, but Look out for people posting their issues. There's no perfectly made scooter i would say, but i will go for the scooter with least issue, or atleast something thayt can easily be fixed or amended.
If you end up getting the mantis, make sure with the seller that they have v3 neck, i think thats the latest one for it that solves the breaking issues
Its got some weight to it, its 37kgs, once you find out how to carry it properly, which what i do is to hold on to the grab thingy at the rear end, and then on the front lift it up on the top of the suspension, its easy to carry, but for me, i only carry it up and down a few steps, but if i live in 3rd or 4th floor, it would be a pain
It’s a decent scoot, but not worth the price, the specs are really weak compared to similarly priced scooters, I’d prefer burn e or klima, if I had that money I’d buy a scooter that could go over 100kph
Sure, theres a lot of tires for escooters out there, for grips, rubber tires would be the choice. There is the PMT tire brand who makes racing/track tires for escooters aswell. They come in higer $$ then regular tires. But there are cheap ones that are good as well.
Yeah, it was the pads, they are sintered/metal compound which are squeeky when worn or dirty, replaced the pads with ceramic ones at 600kmd and they are quieter, 500kms after, tgey are still quiet
This is why I wear full face motocross helmet, you can still breathe because it has no visor but it protects your chin. I have the RXT Zenith 3 matte black for $130. Never looked back.
It was summer when this happened. But after the fall i never ride without gloves and wore full face helmet everytime even thoug it was hot. Lesson learned. It effed up my right shoulder too due to hitting the ground saving my face. But everything is okay now.
I was looking to buy the Mantis King GT, But after more research i'm gonna get the nami And sell my Wolf king GT PRO.. the King is just overkill for me.
I was in the same situation, choosing between mantis king gt or the klima, mantis king gt was on pre-order at the time as there was no stock available. It was on promotion, same price as nami klima 25ah, so i really had to think it through and did my research too. Klima came on top.
Looks cold! I own a Klima max on the gold coast, it's my first scooter and I absolutely love it. try uploading without the music bro, would rather here the wind and tyre noise.
It was cold. Only me and onother one was wearing gloves on this ride.. all of their hands were freezing. I will. Hopefully if it doesnt rain tgis weekend we might go for a ride again.
@@cbot375 newer production comes with it. But make sure you ask the dealers/sellers if they have it in their current stock, as some of them still have the older batches otherwise you will have to purchase it separately if you want to have them.
No gloves... i guess you could land on your head. Because we all will come unstuck at least once, particularly on a fast mid range scooter over changing conditions or roads we don't know.
Trying to beat the rain? I ridden this thing so many times in any type of rain condition nothing bad really happened lol The only thing that worries me is the rain acidity could rusts bolts and screws on the scooter thats about it. Maybe paint wear too like on the handle bars iv had that happened on my vsett10+ on the stem for example.
I have ridden it in rain lots of time, heavy down pour. Even had it go through flooded pathway about 7 to 8 inches deep. We had a couple of weeks rain in Sydney during this time. And almost every time I ride home it's raining. Just didnt wanna get soaked, that's all
Battery and controller are water proofed from factory, they should be okay. If there would be a problem that would arise from water, it would be the electronic parts on the handlebar, like the display, the nfc reader. The motor could get some damage too if too careless when going into some deep water puddles.
I love this scooter i have it too besides the fact that most came with defective brake sensor cables. Takes really long time to deplete the battery and the horn people think is a motorcycle on the road lol.
I have the klima max, 30ah battery. Klima is a great midrange scooter. The torque/power on the klima, compared to other 10inch 60 volts scooter out there is way better. There is a lot of other scooters out there, but to me what stands out was the torque, the build, plus the ability to get intouch with michael sha for after market support or spares.
@GieOnScoot Thanks for information 🙏 👍 you see I want to buy and be delivered in UK 🇬🇧, so looking for a company which is actually legit and wouldn't have any problems to deliver and do shipping to this Country...
G'day mate, great dedication in adding your thoughts on the way home from work, that shows true passion. I am considering either a Klima Max for nimbleness along paths / cycleways in tight spaces yet also a BLAST max for thrills and stability at higher speeds with longer range. Struggling to decide as currently both are on sale. If you dont mind me asking where abouts did you shoot this content? Rivers you passed by look FULL as a goog! Which state & suburb ? BTW.... Can you upload a short 5-10 minute clip detailing your mods (handlebar accessories > mirror, turn signals / display sun cover) deck screws, swimg arm nut savers, etc and what you did to personalise your Klima. Really like what you've done, it'll give me a few ideas for when I finally make a decision on a Klima or Blast. Whatever you can do it would be appreciated
I havent tried a nami blast yet, but with nimbleness, i have a feeling that the blast should be just as nimble as the klima, the only difference physically is that the blast has a wider/bigger deck than the klima. Blast is also faster. Only reason i didnt like the blast is because of the front suspension set up, which many says is actually better than c type suspension. But i dont like how that looks, to me it looks kind of weird, reminds me of a horse leg or something. But if that doesnt bother you at all, i would opt for the nami blast, if you want that extra power/speed, and 11 inch tyres would handle better on cornering on speed and will absorb bumps better than 10 inch tires. I am in Sydney by the way.
@GieOnScoot Thanks mate, that is good intel I actually don't mind the weird inverted front swing arm. It's apparently built that way for better stability even for one handed riding not that I'd do it very often. Yeah I saw your other video to Brighton near Botany Bay area on another video you shot. I am heading down to Sydney end of the month, I thought New South had tough restrictions on private scooters with very strict laws? Or is Sydney area an exception ?
You're right. Private scooters are restricted in NSW. This is why i ride on the bikepaths that goes thru the parks, lucky for me there is a direct route from home to work 😅, hidden from traffic. I often see cops, almost everyday when i ride with my scooter, but they are very forgiving, i guess as long as u stay out of the road, wearing a helmet and not riding like a hoon, they dont bother us here. I dont really know whats holding NSW government to legalise the use of e scooter and others like esk8s and euc. But you see us here everywhere now. There are some trial areas, one being in the inner suburbs of sydney (kogarah), but i havent tried them on yet, heard they are pretty expensive to rent.
It’s true, I had one and was paranoid every time I rode cuz I know they are not allowed on public roads, I had a friend receive $7000 in fines just for riding his escooter…
This what i am anxious about. But so far i havent had any issues with cops in my area. I once saw a couple of cops on my path 100m from home, i dismount on the scooter and started pushing it, they looked at me and looked liked they were puzzled as to why i was walking and pushing my scooter.. 😅
Well they know and most of them won't bother you unless you act like a clown on it which is nice of them, but you get the odd one who's eyes glow red and he has that "scooter" look in his eyes and calls in polair.... the one who gives the rest of them a bad name. Yes it's illegal, it's a bad law, I'm pretty sure they know it too, especially with the Bankstown line closing down there's going to be alot of scooters on the roads and they either allow it or deal with the congestion with buses.
I don't mind riding my old scooter in the rain, just hate the cleaning afterwards, I bought a new scooter six weeks ago and I still haven't taken it out as the weather has been so bad in Europe 😩
I feel you mate, been raining the whole week here in Sydney and will continue on for the next couple more. But I still prefer to ride my scooter if it's just light rain than to drive my car 😅, hope you get to enjoy the new ride soon!
G’day I just recieved the kit to my Nami (I live in Sweden) and was wondering if you had a manual with yours? I guess I can figure out which is which. I mean there are two turn signals but four red wires so I was just wondering.
The other 2 red are for the brake sensor, u can't go wrong as 1 pair of the red are female plug and the other pair is a male plug which should match for the turn lights and the brake sensor
@@GieOnScoot On the kit I got theres one female green, one male black, two yellow one female and one male. Five red, one male and four female. That makes me wonder.
@@GieOnScoot As I told you I live in Sweden but I actually lived in Sydney for a year a long time ago. Back in the day when Colin Hay and his band released Downunder. So, what year?
With the battery, i have not seen any noticeable decrease in battery or range since i installed it. They are bright enough to be seen during the day, though i dont ride on roads, but bikes and pedestrians sure sees it when i indicate during my rides.
Wet grass, back tire slid, jumped off as i lost balance, but my right hand was still pushing the throttle lightly so it kept going. Soon as i pressed the brakes, i tripped on the scooter and fell.
I definitely feel a lot more safer on 11 inch wheels as i had on my varla eagle one pro, mostly when taking corners on speed. I see uve seen my video where i fell, that happened to me on 11 inch tyres ( eagle one pro) several times but since it has more contact on the ground due to the width of tyre, i was able to get back in control all of the time, but on the 10 inch, i just felt like im gonna fall right away, thats why i jumped off of it
Its gonna be required as when u get the turnsignal kit, it'll come with a new harness with connection for the turn lights, and this harness will have a connection for the nfc assembly, so u'll have to get the nfc assembly itself together with the turn signal kit
