I own this exact figure! you may have gotten the arms mixed up but its still really cool! I do know that this figure was the origin of a LOT of Thomas the tank engine knock offs inspired by trainsformers
Rook is the black Mini-Con and Crosswise is the light-gray one. In the original variation (Where Rook had purple highlights on his chest and Crosswise had red stripes on his shins), Rook turned Sideways into a Decepticon and Crosswise turned Sideways into an Autobot. In the original Transformers Armada toyline's canon, Sideways suffered from a split-personality disorder and in the cartoon's canon, he works for Unicron. The Transformers Armada toys existed first and not the cartoon. And by the way, in Japan, Rook and Crosswise's combined robot mode's name is Mirror. Outside of Japan, Mirror does not have an outside-of-Japan name.

Man look at how many paint apps Sideswipe has compared to modern car figures, Aaron Aarcher really squandered the greater allowance of his era on so many gimmicks over just making awesome action figures.

I think you did an amazing job on your rx- 78-2. Yours looks very primeum with the airbrushing. I don't know it I will ever get into airbrushing. I guess only time will tell
@tyguy1789 thanks. I'm sure you will do well with airbrushing too. Just need practice, and I can tell you from my experience that it is not difficult at all. It is easier than you think. The result is so rewarding, even if you don't get it right, it is still pretty impressive comparing to a straight built. Have a go my friend!! 😊👍🏼
@tyguy1789 airbrush is not expensive at all, you can get a good quality one without breaking a bank. The high end airbrushes undoubtedly have better built quality and finer output, but if you are not a pro you really don't need to invest too much money on an airbrush in order to achieve the good results. Airbrush colours are easy and cheap enough to get, you don't need much to airbrush a 1/144 or 1/100 Gundam. I think the most expensive item might be a spray booth, but their prices have come down quite a lot due to popularity these days. You could make your own spray booth also, not too hard to make, search on youtube you will see some fellow RU-vidr have made their own. It is very rewarding and you will love airbrushing once you tried. Worth investing the money my friend if you like Gundam. 😊👍🏼
I won this a few months ago on an ebay auction for like 5 bucks. He's a big brick but for that cheap I can't complain, even though I don't have his original partner minicon or the missile.
@@tyguy1789Heck, I mean if you want to do a Gundam review of your own accord then go for it. I'm in no position to make any demands, but I'd drop a like and a view if you released it.
