The speed is not the issue with these gears. The actual problem is dirt or small debris getting into the axle casing damaging the gears. Hope this helps.
With the wheels off the ground, is your throttle increase nicely proportional to rpm increase or do you notice a little rpm dip within the first 10% throttle input?
Hello friend 😊 :) Is it true that this van in its brush version is very weak? Do the gears break, the teeth of the differentials wear out? Has something similar happened to you with the brushed version? I admire your content :)
On the Brushed version the only issue I've had was leaky shocks. Apparently the shocks leak all of the oil due to bad seals internally. The motor is strong and solid. I also own the Brushless version and I've known that the gears do break internally from the differentials. But you can find replacements on the kyosho website. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.

Even though this is a great platform, I will say the Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro is still king. I can't really describe how that is possible but the Kyosho is at a special level that no matter where you run it, it's still a lot of fun. Now what I can compare this losi to, it's the 1.0 baja rey in which I own as well. Let me tell you that the 2.0 is better. Losi did their homework and this one handles very well. Hello friend! 😊 Good evening! how are you? Does anyone know if the kyosho mad van has grease in the stock differentials? I have never reviewed it for reasons of time. Has anyone already checked it? It's good to know before running it Blessings :) 
I haven't checked the drivetrain at all unfortunately. One major flaw this truck has is leaky shocks. Other than that this one is solid. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
You can upgrade every single component if you like. Personally the stock groupset is fine to me. Every person rides differently. So far I have nothing bad to say about this bicycle. Hope this helps.
