That road doesn’t look that special to me. Come to any mountainous part of Europe and you find similar roads. However we European rider are used to it, we usually have a better training due to stricter testing when doing our license and most serious riders are properly dressed. All that reduces the crash risk snd if one should happen, the injuries. So from my point of view that road is overrated.
You absolutely correct riding a motorcycle can and is workout, every part of your body feels after a long ride or jumping hills on a dirt bike, I’ve had the opportunity to experience both dirt bike’s at a young age sports bike’s in my twenties now cruiser’s in my older age and still getting a workout 🏋️♀️ lol and as long I can toss a leg over a seat I’ll still getting a workout 👊🏽👊🏽
I don’t feel like motorcycling gives me all that great a workout so I sometimes ride my motorcycle to a trailhead and go for a hike even if it’s just a short one.
Doodle 🔥🔥 dropping knowledge!! All great points! I’m former veteran & cop, and I actually have in my official ( if you will) mental health plan about riding my motor as a necessary and consistent action to keep my mental health- healthy. Riding ( for me) has helped me improve so much concerning my mental health/PTS battles. Riding therapy works much better than picking up a bottle of whisky or a gun for that matter!! Great stuff Doodle!
You left one reason out...... It's good for the soul!!! To get out and see some of God's creations and wonders in nature and it's a bonus to be able to share it with my best friend and wife.... ;-) Be safe and Blessed Doodle!!!!
I like foothills parkway you can fly across it I’ve road it many times I’ve been on the dragon 5 times and seen bad wrecks ever time not my favorite to many wanna be Superbike riders
Great information video young lady. I've been on all those roads and many more in that area for years. Too fast where you can't maintain on your side of the road is the main reason for the most wrecks. Inexperience is the second reason. Finally riding under the influence is the third. The rest are just idiots.
I've driven/ridden the Dragon many times because I don't live too far away. But the last time I was there, I drove the Dragon on a moonless night in a pouring rain. YIKES! I just took it slow and had no problems at all.
Great suggestions Doodle!!!! Is there a better time of year to visit some of those areas due to visitors and heat??? Thank You for all that you do!!!! Be safe and Blesses!!!!
October. just October. it's between the summer vacations and the snowbirds. the days are still long enough and it's not cold. November has great weather but the days are shorter. September is still hot. April is the most beautiful month of the whole year in Florida but it's also gator mating season so the dinos are aggressive. December can be cold but not usually during the day. once that sun sets the temp goes down with it. January and February are the only cold months here. march is the schizo weather month and it can be unpredictable. may through September are hot. and humid. and rainy. and crowded. i am not doodle but i am a Floridian.
I rode down to Key West last year and on the way back, I stopped for fuel and got to looking at the map and saw that Highway 41. Looked better than the turnpike and it definitely was. In fact, it was the best part of the entire trip.
