I own the 01 my bike is mint it breaks my heart to see you do anything to that bike without totally restoring it because what little bit you're doing is a joke you might as well take it to the junkyard for what you're doing to it it's still going to be a piece of crap because apparently you have no idea what you are doing Sorry to be honest but you need about $1500 worth of upgrades to that bike just to make it worth $1500

i know this is a old video. just wanted to add that you have a 1988 and up cylinder on it. the 87 Big reed intake had 6 bolts on the reed cage. same as the 87 big reed LT 250R. the baby brother. the red fluid is atf type f. when we drag race banshees we use transmission fluid. cause its not all thick. can run it in the zilla also..safe for wet clutch

Good Video but you put the oil seal Backwards. On the wet side / oil side spring side should be facing You. Mostly likely to pop off again or have Tranny oil going into crank Just a FYI for people watching this video .

Starting fluid used in a two stroke can sometimes cause an explosion/detonation in the crankcase below the piston and blow the crankshaft seal out.

i got a 2000 cr250r just a few months ago and i recommended getting a lectron carburetor. You won’t have to adjust the air and the fuel it will adjust itself. Also id recommended getting a new radiator. My bike luckily came with new wheels on it and a new pipe.

Thanks for the help! Did you have any issues with the throttle after you removed the spacer? I cleaned the carb n removed the spacer and after I reinstalled it I had no tension on the throttle cable and also the engine was super accelerated? Can you help me out please
