I was there in June 2023 Ardnamurchan Point is the furthest point West of mainland UK, the day before I was at Dunnet Head the furthest point North of mainland UK as part of my four points of the UK tour, a week later I did Lowestoft Ness the furthest point East and I am planning on the last soon Lizard point furthest South of mainland UK it will be around 3K miles on my Rebel 1100 when complete. I am looking for what to do next year and so far it seems the 6 main passes of the Lake District is favourite and it will be the Super Cub's turn again as I did the NC500 on it last year but getting there and back is the biggest battle as I live nr Reading so it is a long day up and then getting back so I do my trips in June as there is more daylight hours.
Matt, will you be filming Chester DGR this year? I hope so, as you made a good job of 2017’s ride. Thanks - it encouraged me to sign up and raise some money for a good cause. Les in Chester
Hi Leslie, unfortunately I'm not able to attend this year's ride (unavoidable commitments elsewhere). Hope it goes well and that you all have a great time!
@TheGreenante Hi there. Most of the Scapa Flow wrecks are fairly shallow (in the 20 - 30m range) although some are deeper. All the wrecks in my video are less than 30m . HTH Matt
Apparently there's a Russian nuclear submarine that sunk a few miles north of there, in the Norwegian sea and it's still got all it's naughty bits! Scary huh?
Superb video. This is a lot like diving wrecks offshore of New Jersey like the Varanger or the R.P Resor. We have more fishlife it seems. Great story about Scapa Flow, I'd love to dive there someday.
'Better' is a subjective thing. However, the original gets my vote and in answer to dyingfly's question, the original is the track I used as the backing to my video.
