Yes, and no. It depends on how you do when you change your strings. I usually change to locking tuners as it makes life so much easier when changing strings. I have used the Harley Benton locking tuners and YES I had to drill but it is worth it.

My M-vave tank G just arrived today ond holy shit pastor rocking out on the EVH3 6L6 loaded amp model and OMG! what a nice rig for nothing $270 for the benton fusion T but the tank G for $80 is crazy good and you can load it with other amps and cabs total;y amazing! check out the Tank G pastor. the green one not the purple one.
