I believe that watercolour is pure MAGIC, and I want to share this magic with you.
Over the years I have experimented with various mediums until I knew that nothing else keeps me as mesmerised as watercolours do - every time I paint with watercolours, I feel like I enter a different world that is full of wonder and joy.
Nature brings me endless inspiration - the places I have travelled to around the world and my beautiful home on the stunning Central Coast of NSW, Australia.
Let's paint together and fall in love with watercolour every time we pick up our brushes.

Thank you so much Anastasia, I really really enjoyed watching you create this absolutely beautiful and amazingly unique this piece. Fantastic artwork. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
How utterly delightful. I have to say your choice of music and no dialogue highlights your artistic creativity. Not saying commentary isn't necessary but this approach definitively adds to the whole video. Beautiful, thank you x
Your words mean so much! Thank you 😊 I know that many people prefer voiceovers but this way of presenting my demos is currently the only one that really works for me, and I really enjoy making these, so your comment is just so lovely 😊
Everything they all said! Just beautiful, I am amazed and inspired, I shall try! Also I love that you don't talk, you just do it. Very cool. thank you.
Can you suggest a substitute for the sodalite genuine, which I'm having trouble finding? Perhaps a blend of Paynes grey and indigo? As l said elsewhere, I'm delighted to have found my muse.
Thank you 😊 If you have Ultramarine Blue, you can add a touch of Burnt Umber to it to mix a colour that is really close to Sodalite, and this mix has a similar granulating effect too. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much! I know what you mean about too much details - I, too, get stressed if there are too many tiny little things I need to paint… Glad this video helps!
The trouble with subscribing to a number of channels is that you don't necessarily get notifications from the ones you most like. I've been subscribed for ages l believe, but never have l seen any recommendations. I found you on Instagram, and l shan't look back. Thank you for your wild and vibrant art and inspiration. ❤
RU-vid’s algorithm is a mystery… I know what you mean. If I want to see the videos from the channels I am subscribed to, I need to go to the actual list of them and see if there have been any new videos added. I am glad you are enjoying my videos - thank you for being here 😊 Happy painting!
As usual, I loved the experience of trying to follow you and am amazed at my end results. I also learn from you - the lifting technique, way you do trees, the various colors you use like Potter's Pink, I have been using Rare Green Earth too and still finding my way with it. Mostly I love watching your intuitive way of being with the process. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely comment 😊 You can find the details of this music in the description of the video, if you scroll to the end, and there is a website where you can get it from listed there too.
On Dick Blick they have a tin of 24 The set includes the following colors: Port, Aubergine, Dark Indigo, Slate Green, Ivy, Chestnut, Cool Brown, Cocoa, Storm, Midnight Black, Cloud Gray, Cool Gray, Juniper, Shadow, Steel Blue, Ocean Blue, Green Gray, Meadow, Sage, Russet, Autumn Brown, Warm Gray, Mountain Gray, and White.
Another wonderful creation Anastasia. I do agree that DS Lunar Black is quite magical when it's made to heavily granulate. I have also recently used it to great effect.
Well, it certainly relaxed me watching you paint this wonderful watercolour. So much so, that I nodded off and had to rewind back to where I last recalled the scene. My excuse is being 75! You are an exceptionally gifted artist. Your colour palette choices are sublime.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words! Your comment brought a smile to my face - I hope you enjoyed the mini nap induced by my video 😁 I must admit that sometimes I watch my own videos so I can relax and fall asleep faster 😄 💤
It was relaxing to watch and I loved the music and the picture it beautiful, you made it look so easy. It was great to watch at this time when I'm so stressed and overwhelmed with all the crap stuff going on in my life , I don't have time to paint. 😢
I am so sorry you are going through hard times in your life… I hope things improve and you get the energy to be creative again ✨ Sending positive thoughts your way!
