@@TheOff-roadOutdoorsman-k2w Not in NY. The sale of Small Lead shot is illegal in New York. The use of lead shot is allowed in NY if made personally or bought out of state. In PA and other states you can buy it in store. I’ve had luck purchasing from eBay or other websites out of state and having it shipped in!
I'm giving you a subscribe and like for the simple fact that you're the ONLY channel on YT that has taken the time to clearly outline the exact weight and size of EACH split shot that is used. I know I speak for many salmon/steelhead anglers
Hey. We are an online based store specializing in Salmon Steelhead float fishing. We sell on eBay as well, but focus on growing our website more. Thanks for your comment.
The great part about pegs, are you can peg the bead as tight as you like to! I peg my beads tight enough so that it holds firmly in place, but can slide without breaking the leader line. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for your comment. I use Raven Matrix Reel. Riversider Rod. I put the links in the video description to everything I use. I also have other videos on my RU-vid channel showing my in depth complete set up. Check those out and you will know every piece to the Centerpin Float Fishing rig!
It can be one of 2 things. 1. Casting too hard. You have to lob and swing your rig out. 2. using the same size split shot the whole way down your rig. If you start with big shot, and go smaller and smaller on your way down your line, it will get tangled less.
What dictates the weight of my float I notice that I have 3 options for weight I’m a little confused on that I’d be using small 2.5 gulp minnows and single egg and some woolly buggers 1/16 3/32 ounce
It's actually to much weight it's a set up for 10 plus foot of water in a pool or current. Where I live average pool is 5 to 8 ft deep and this set up is to heavy...one would have to alter it to condition
A little trick I like to do is when the tip gets twisted like that I'll jus separate the rod. It works good if your in the river and when there's a lot of snow on the ground and u don't wanna get the reel covered 👍!
😂 And now the salmon are stacked up at the dam so thick you can walk across their backs. Seen a video posted on Oswego fishing report page on Facebook this morning.
@@art08474water levels are nice. Water is clear with a hint of color. Theres enough water running where the fish have a place to be, and you can walk around safely with not too much current
