Training manager here, for Accenture (LinkedIn platform experience mgmt team). Accenture failed my onboarding and then never rectified the issues this caused and then terminated our team. They never sent me an invite or info about onboarding or even info about my first day. I never received any onboarding and I was not the only one. Accenture had me work without my i9 and then threatened me with probation/suspended pay/termination when they realized their mistake. I reached out to the very Global Head of Onboarding shown here in this video for help and they didn't do anythinf, they directed me to another person who also did nothing and then when I reached out the Global Head of Onboarding blocked me on LinkedIn. So, when the Global Head of Onboarding is talking about "personal stories" please be aware that many of us are not heard, not seen, and ignored and our personal stories are not the ones they care about.
This would be more compelling if examples were cited that support any of these approaches as being effective. For next year's research, ask why there are so few examples of companies having fixed EE/EX. Surely, someone out there has a solution that works is repeatable and sustainable. Where are the success stories?
Google has over 250 million definitions for employee engagement. There shouldn't be any wonder why there are no successful examples of companies transforming their employee engagement to the extent business metrics were impacted. This subject has been researched to death, yet there are no examples of solutions that delivered results. Questions like, what was the process, who led the initiative, how long did it take for the results to show up in the financials, how were the results measured, how much did the initiative cost, and were the results sustainable? Absent the answers to these questions, the EE/EX services experts and their tech are being paid for their efforts, notwithstanding the results. The biggest issue is that all EE/eX efforts are executed by HR which has no ability to force disinterested leaders to change.
