My sis in law used to have a wisteria growing up her cedar tree that was a hundred plus high, it looked amazing when in flower. They are quite the thug. I’m deadheading the few marigolds I have too Ivan. Great to save seed we need to do more of this and stop paying exorbitant prices for seed. 😮😮 Ivan naughty naughty wet gloves and scissors. Name of the game is prune weed feed and harvest 😂. No rest for the gardener it’s always work or winter. I have mares tail and sticky weed, but bind weed is a real pain I’m seeing for so many people. Having all that wood next to the neighbors fence isn’t helping either with slugs. Shame about the cauliflowers they looked so healthy. Yard is looking nice and tidy actually so you have done a great job. Have a fab week Ivan hope the rains let up a bit, Ali 🥵🌞🇨🇦

The colours of those marigolds are stunning Ivan, mine were quite under whelming this year 😢. My cucumbers are finally producing some fruits but they are sure slow this year. Are they leaf miners, I have them in everything these days. Frustrating when pots do the brittle thing but luckily our recycle trucks will take them to recycle. Omg 😱 I have big orange fringed slugs but rarely see snails here. Your wisteria is a monster 😂 it’s taking over Ivan. I was pruning trees yesterday because you can tell at high summer where it needs it more. Some of my gladioli didn’t come back this year, it may have been too cold and wet this winter. Shame about the sprouts hopefully what ever it is doesn’t do too much more damage. Hey 😂 that’s how I save seed too works great. Odd about the parsnips being so little under ground. A wonderful marigold display mine were not so good for some reason even new seed. Eat the bolted Ivan they are still delicious brussel sprouts it’s just looks anyway. Oh my freakin lord that’s a shed load of slugs and snails 🐌. She’s a lovely dog 🐶. Oh I must remember to clean up and feed my strawberry 🍓 plants for “winter”. Tomatoes 🍅 look great Ivan and yes sometimes we just have to take some and top the rest. I have lots of plants outside I just gave up trying to control 😂😂 they are taking over. 😢 you would have enjoyed the sprout tops I like them almost better than the sprouts 😂. And I have heard it helps with the development of the sprout. Cabbage whites wait in hiding for us to uncover things 🤬. Doing an awesome job Ivan, have a fab day, Ali 🌤️🇨🇦

Why not turn your bottom half of your green round, and put it from the bottom and halfway up, as cats won't try to jump it as it is loose at the top, just a thought

Tomatoes are doing really well Ivan mine are all outside ones and they are totally being unruly and 😂growing where they feel like it 😂. Fab haul on broad bean seed for next year, I think seed saving is the only way to go. We break off the sprout plant tops and eat them steamed with a bit of garlic and olive oil. I have decided that the snails and especially the slugs on my allotment patch are gangsters pure and simple. They have massacred my beans, peas and my poor little rhubarb repeatedly. No more mercy will be shown. I have a huge batch of extra hot chilli powder they are about to become friendly with....It won't be a long partnership.

Wow missed this one Ivan. Poor cauliflower damn slugs. Luckily lots of time to get some new ones started. Beans are doing well, my pot bush beans were fried from the heat I couldn’t keep them watered enough. Marigolds look lovely mine are no where near a big 😂. I got rid of the slugs in my garden by putting salt on their pathway to my veggies- not at the plants but before they get to them - they gone more than a year now.☺

Oh awesome I haven’t seen any here this year 😢 but I have seen lady bugs 🐞. It is 33c as I type we’re melting 😂. Slug catcher is still working well 👍. if i were you, i'd give a mulch around the rhubarb with horse manure for a winter dressing. in the mean time i'd use chicken manure pellets, seaweed extract or blood fish and bone to perk the plants up a bit..................brian

Oh lord black fly are awful 🤬 I have white fly on lots of things now. I don’t have bindweed but I have mares tail and it’s brutal trying to get rid of it without killer. Can you bash the roots with a hammer 😅😅. Great update Ivan hope your getting some good weather, Ali 🌞🥵🇨🇦

Excellent job lad. You should think about a hot compost box. That would take care of the bindweed. 60-70 degrees. Kills everything...jim

I cut a shop brought cherry tomatoe in half and buried it , thought nothing was going to come of it as it took a long time to germinate now l have 8 😊, do you think that your tomatoes have black fly on them, because you had your broadbeans in the pollytunnel when they had a bit on them
