Definitely be careful with gaining weight after you are well. If you gain too much weight in a short time the intra abdominal pressure increases which could break your hernia surgery

@TheBounceBack1996 4 месяца назад
Definitely. I am aware. When I say gaining weight I’m not really talking about belly fat I’m talking about muscle weight. My surgeon already told me to do it slow and my normal formula of a pound- pound and a half a week of mostly muscle weight wouldn’t disturb it. I’m naturally a thin dude and I work out all the time so it shouldn’t be a big deal. I’m also not gonna jump back on creatine most likely. I'm sorry you're going through this, I also have reflux with inflammation of the esophagus, a lot of mucus and coughing after eating makes my days difficult. I was also offered the operation because I wanted it but I haven't had it done yet. I've only had symptoms for half a year, but they're pretty bad and can't be compared to how I was last year. I don't know how I will decide yet, but I am very much inclined towards surgery, and I was also offered the toupee in the end. Seeing your case, I'm a little afraid, I've tried everything, diet medicine, but I don't want to suffer with this for years. I am now 38 years old and I don't know what to do, is it worth it or should I wait for the years to get worse, unfortunately I searched everywhere but no one was completely cured from Reflux, some from the linx, some from the toupet and some got better from the nissen or the stretta, but no one got better that he waited and dieted or took ppi for decades.

I feel you man I have had reflux bad for the past 5 months I feel like most doctors just keep pushing these acid reducer meds which cause more issues. They gave me bad anxiety and insomnia, I told the doctors to get me off the ppi which made me happy I have reflux at times but no where near as bad I think most issues from reflux are not the hyperactivity of acid but the lack of acid in the stomach which causes the les to relax and let up acid. I noticed that when I ate then drank a some acv diluted water it helped me have less reflux. Also taking probiotics, magnesium glycinate, and zinc carnosine. I have been trying natural options with the use of Pepcid if absolutely necessary and I’ve gotten a little better not 100% healed but better than 5 months ago. I have also seen that the keto diet or carnivore diet have helped tons of people with reflux I haven’t tried that yet but I’ve noticed carbs seem to make things worse for me which is what most doctors recommend to eat, grains, veggies, nuts, etc.
