Batman coming to find the Penguin but getting busy beating the shit out of people to the point where the Penguin himself had to find Batman will always be hilarious to me lol
This scene was the one to convince me that Batman, not Joker, is the villain of the movie. Joker only pointed out the flaws in his heroic fantasy and the fact that, despite coming together in the wake of tragedy, Gotham remained as hypocritical and corrupt as it had always been.
I think its too late but is there any chance you can put up Dark Knight? Bruce and Alfred are talking about the Joker and what kind of criminal he is? I just absolutely love that scene, its like an impending doom.
What really hit me about his scene is when he says, "You and I are destined to do this forever." I wanted that. So much. Ledger was absolutely amazing. I wanted to see him and Bale in the third. People forget what Bale did for Bats. Unfortunately, we lost a great actor who never got to see how great he is. Sure, he saw the cut before he died, but he didn't see the public's reaction. These two should have done if forever.
Fun fact: Heath actually made Christian Bale beat him up in this scene to make it more realistic, and it was more realistic because he actually did beat the crap out of Heath here
I was there opening night. Every time the Joker was on screen, I got f'ing nervous. Ledger was just... amazing. There is nothing else to say. Batman is supposed to be the safety blanket, but even when Bats was there, I wondered how far the Joker was gonna take it. RIP Heath Ledger. You won.
