Right hand drive? Is this usual? Seems very odd for Ferrari! I'm making a wild guess that is is to position the gearshift in the right side for straight access to gearbox?
The way the V12 gets switched off just in time to be greeted by a V10 Formula 1 engine going at top speed is just a spectacular final flourish to this video.
Maybe it's just me, I find the revv matching on downshifts a bit awkward. I suppose it's an older machine and the drive style is significantly different. Wonderful driving anyhow :)
After the run, I would want to just sit there in the silence for a few minutes and decompress... slow my breathing, feel my heartbeat get back to normal, stretch my fingers some.
When I went to my first 24 hours of Daytona. In 1996. I touched the 333SP. And Mr Moretti car. And he saw me touch the engine. And I got scared. And pulled away. And he said. No keep touching. And I thought it was work of art. And still is. And the battle between the Riley and Scotts Oldsmobile Aurora. And Dyson's Ford. Man the battles on the track. Along with Mr Mazda Jim Downing.
In reality this car had semi-automatic upshifts, but on the downshifts you had to manually rev the engine a bit when you were going down the gears to compensate the loss of RPM
