I hear "There's no sense communication," as in your senses aren't relaying any information to you. Which fits the context of being like a blind wind in the subways of your mind, needing to do something to get the sun to shine in there.
Might start off with "flight the wind"Second lyric could be "you came with honor" honoring" or "you came an other" the other lyric to me sounds " along the way" the themes to me about traveling in a mystic way towards a better world and the obstacles and ups and downs with lifes journey as ths lyrics seem to reflect contrast in emotions like "or the sun will never shine" and "theres no sorrow" wonder if bands like red hot chili peppers heard music like this as they were starting out around the same time ☮️
My personal takes on the lyrics. I never was in the search and just discovered this amazing song some days ago. Saddly, i don't have the knowledge to help with musical and searching (expecially physical) to help the search. 0:39: From a vocals only versions, the phrase “new divisions” is clearely audible, meaning that version is the correct one. 1:19: You can hear a semi-perfecr “And” at the start. I would exclude the “When” one. 1:21: I personally don't hear “When”, i hear a perfect “and”. 1:23: Altrought it could be “dreaming”, i can hear something that seems “dreamer”, and personality it makes more sense wirh the rest of the phrase. 2:28: I might be mistaking, since i'm not a perfect English speaker, but i think i can hear something similiar to “sun or moon”. I can also hear a semi-clear “It's”. 2:31: At the start i thougth it was “Check it in, check it out”, but after a second hearing, “Tell it in, tell it out” seems similiar to the spoke words. 2:33: Altrought i bit of “Excuse” can be hear at the end, both the “It's the real you” and “If it's really you” sound possible. However, i would change “If it's the real you” without the “If”. 2:36: In this case, i hear “In the summer blue” perfectly. 2:37: I would suggest a mix, a “Tell it in, check it out ” version becouse i can hear the “Tell” and the start and a “Ch” sound at the end. However, after a second listening, the “Ch” sound also seems a “Tel-”, so i don't know. 2:39: I hear a mix, “It is really you”. 2:42: To me, all three seems good. However, “With the sun or moon” and “with the summer moon” seem more likely. However, i would replace the “with” with a “It's”. Also, i think i hear a barelly clear “Or”, so maybe the “sun or moon” one. 2:46: I agree. 2:46: Like at 2:39, i hear a “It is really you”. However, a “It is the real you” also seems possible. 2:55: I didn't know there was a lipsmack end. Anyway, it doesn't sound too much like a lipsmack.

"A long dirty way" sounds to me like "we're alone anyway" because of that extra syllable before "a". It aligns with the next line and seems to fit in more with the overall tone of the lyrics, which feel like a melancholic love song; perhaps about a lover that seems to be undecided on if they should stay or leave (The song would be sung from the perspective of the other person, who is telling them to make up their mind) "Take the consequence of leaving" "Check it in, check it out, or the sun will never shine" (Stay or leave or else there won't be any closure) "You're going somewhere, let a smile be your companion" The full line "We're alone anyway in the subway of your mind" would imply that no matter what the other person decides, the two will be together in the "subways of your [their] mind" One of the lines at the end also sounds to me like "There's no reading you" instead of "it's the real you" which would further tie into the theme of confusion and indecisiveness
It's my favourite. Because it matches the entire sense of the Song. The "heartbeat" sounds at the end is speeding up and ends in a Zero line. If you put every Part together the Song is about suicide or a depressive person.
I'm certain it's more likely to be "Tear it in, tear it out" as opposed to "Tell it in, tell it out", I hear more of an R sound than an L, but overall this is a very good lineup of likely interpretations Edit: at 0:51, a potential interpretation I just thought of, could possibly be "Bear a long day away", which could line up with "In the subways of your mind", like getting lost in thought to help pass the time away and get the day over with. "Bear a long dirty way" could also be a possible lyric and would still line up with the subway line.

This song was recorded from a German radio station, in my opinion the artist was either British or German, as in those two countries, new wave was extremely popular in the early to mid 80s, and a lot of new wave artists like A Flock of Seagulls and Nena originated from the UK or Germany.
