I strateg learning Spanish last summer and when I watched modern family (Last year) I understood NOTHING of the spanish and now rewatching the scene I could understand without glorias translations :))
It's really heart-wrenching how it turns out for Cam & Mitch here but they're just a part in the bigger telenovela in which abuela may have a stroke next ep 😢
Since she is a blood relative to the baby she can contest the adoption in court. And unless proven otherwise, courts tend to side with the blood relatives.

Its crazy how I, while learning Italian, also learned a little bit of spanish. Once there where two classmates of mine talking in spanish infront of me having no idea that i could understand them. They were so shocked when i told them in italian about what were they talking about.
It's incredible how one of the funniest moment in the show is followed by one of the most heartbreaking moment in the show without making either feel inappropriate or out of place
