This video is a good " in general " video , I have a 2023 fxbbs114 but it's the same procedure to remove the battery . There's actually more room than this video makes it seem like there is to get to the positive cable through the right cover . A magnetic Phillips head screw driver is absolutely your best friend for the positive screw . I'm not the best mechanically and I have rather larger hands and arms and got this done in about 10 minutes .
Отличная инструкция для доступа к клеммам аккумулятора, с целью подключения зарядного устройства. Спасибо автору видео👍 В противном случае уже думал снимать амортизатор для доступа сверху
Uh, put some paper towel in your oil fill tube after removing the dip stick. You do NOT want dust, the negative battery bolt or that 5/32" allen bolt from the side cover falling in there!
Can the harness be used to jump start a dead battery? I have been unable to find an attachment that can connect the harness to regular jumpstart cables.
Almost all the videos show how to remove the battery the problem: they don't tell you that when you remove the negative cable the alarm is gonna go off and they don't tell you how to stop it
What is the max amp draw on the m8 accessory wiring kit and could this be setup to run a Kuryakyn soundbar, a denali air horn, and a dual led flag pole whip antenna kit or do additional power wire leads need to be run to the battery? I'm assuming there is a need for additional power and there is no room at all on my 2021 street bob fxbbs for a fuse box/block. Any ideas how to run additional battery power lead for multiple devices like this on my bike without creating a wiring mess in the cramped space available both fused and relayed? Could you make a tutorial or know of any available?
Great video! You make it look easy bro lol. I was watching this video to learn how to access/locate the positive and negative terminals because I want to install a lightbar. Does the plastic cover that you remove at 3:39 need to be taken out in order to access the positive?
I'm glad im not the only one that thinks the new softail battery location is rediculous. I removed the side covers and seat to hook up a maintainer and shook my head 🤦♂️ I knew I would figure it out if I wanted to but I was waiting untill I needed a new battery to just install everything at once. Figured I'd watch a video to make sure I don't take too much apart 😅
I so want to thank you for posting this video. You have know idea how much you saved me with this. I was used to my Pro Street Chopper were all you had to do was remove the seat release two clamps and your done. Hell...I think this video even saved my marriage.
Hello, I have a Softail Standard, my problem is the battery pull out. Now I've seen you pull a strap under the battery, it's the series I don't have it. Tom
I have this bike and my question is how the hell are you suppose to hook a charger up to it if the battery dies out on a ride? That'd the 1st question that came to mind. What was harley thinking with this design?
1st: Put oil dip stick back in oil filler so Screws or other loose parts down fall in to oil reservoir 2: Use an ratchet extension when loosening neg wire instead of having the rachet smashing and scratching the frame in which you were doing. 3: take a little more pride in your work! If i was your boss and seen you smashing that ratchet against the frame? BOOOOOOM , your fired.
Thanks for the concise video. The only things I did differently was using a flat head to help with that second rear clip, my fat fingers couldn’t get it. And I just opened the retaining clip instead of removing it, I tend to break them to often.
