I make videos about anime, mostly older titles, and help explain cultural and historical context, as well as analyze their themes. My older work is a bit more satirical than I tend to work these days, but I still can have a bit of a snarky edge if the title calls for it.
Ah yes Media Blasters the company that despite already lost almost 60% of their workforce, closed MB Voicework Dubbing Production Company and nearly into closure basically turned into a yesterday news just like many american licensing companies that fell and closed beforehand and somehow through sheer abundance of luck they still stand through the test of time and exist to this very day. Truly they deserve this one famous phrase "Alive & Kicking"
I think Bennetts second observation is the most likely option on why Griffith did what he did with the Princess, not caring about the consequences because of his headspace. He wanted to regain some sort of misguided manhood, almost in the way that people will act differently to "compensate" after losing someone in their life that is no longer there for various reasons. Hell even by the way he first reacts it's immediately clear he didn't know just the gravity of the situation he was in. RIP Miura, you're a legend that is gone but never will be forgotten.
I'm honestly surprised we don't see more media where the first bad guy fights a new bad guy, loses or just anything regarding multiple antagonist fighting each other in general You'd think it'd be an obvious plot point that could lead to alot of different things but it isn't really ever used (For the Gen Z don't bring up the Orichimaru vs Pain "fight" that's non-canon and exclusive to the game)
You know, if this was turned into a game like it was planned, this seems like very link's awakened styles of look. Or just something akin to xenogear...

I like the 4 parter move series of this and than the original. Yes, it was still good....But the newer of the 4 parter movies' much better. Just saying.
This video makes me really happy for 3 reasons 1. I'm happy we have moved away from this kind of content where it's a bunch of gen x people whining about media they didn't understand and refuse to engage in nuanced discussion. 2. The West has moved away from this idea that "Evangelion is bad" is a fact. 3. That Bennet has never mattered once since about 2008 because it is specifically content creators like him that contributed to the hostile, bad faith environment that talking about anime in social platforms has become. Bonus 4. The confirmation that damn, the best parts of channel awesome really were always Nostalgia Critic and Cinema Snob.
Some morbid facts about the atomic bombs: neither one hit the ground. Both were about 200 ft in the air above the city when they went off. No craters are left at either site. Atomic and nuclear weapons don't work that way. The only way you could get one is if you detonated the weapon underneath the target. The Soviets would go on to use nuclear bombs in several hundred explosions that they use to create artificial lakes.
As a gay guy, I think you did a pretty good job opening the discussion around sexual politics. "BL" content is treated by women as a niche fetish, so it's often paired with other taboo fetishes like SA. And this totally goes for both Japan and the US
The problem with Gundam is is that it's got too many issues with its storyline. You can't make people in Xeon human because of the colony drop which was extremely ill-advised.
Are we just going to gloss over the fact that the super-weapon looks like the guys behind Bomberman: Act Zero worked on Frieza's cybernetics...And they went overboard on them?
