@@JamieZero7 My apology is in order, Jamie. On further investigation here is what I found: Borax is not legal for general consumer use in the European Union. The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) classified borates, including borax, as potentially hazardous due to their reproductive toxicity. This classification led to restrictions on its sale and use within the EU.

For anyone watching this video ... never use any petroleum product on latex. And fyi, most soaps have petroleum in them. Petroleum will destroy latex. Ever have the problem where your latex mold is becoming gooey, sticky, and falling apart? It's most likely because you've cleaned it or added a petroleum product on it. Instead, use 70% rubbing alcohol mixed with a little bit of caster oil (not motor oil) for a mold release. And to clean your molds after using them, use water mixed with some white vinegar. Using petroleum products with latex is bad info. Hope this tip helps someone ... Oh, wanted to add that sunlight will also destroy latex. Always keep your molds out of the sun.

This is a clothed figure. But, let's discuss it a moment. The age of artistic censorship we're currently experiencing is marked by a complex tension between cultural sensitivity and freedom of expression. On one hand, increased awareness of different cultural contexts and the potential for art to offend has led to a more cautious approach. This sensitivity is often seen as a progressive move towards a more inclusive and respectful society. However, it can sometimes tip into what some perceive as over-sensitivity, where even the most benign artistic expressions are scrutinized or censored out of fear of causing offense. This heightened sensitivity has its roots in a positive place-aiming to avoid perpetuating stereotypes, disrespecting cultural symbols, or harming vulnerable groups. But it can also lead to self-censorship among artists and cultural institutions, who may avoid certain topics or expressions to sidestep controversy. This is particularly challenging in fields like education, art, and media, where exploring diverse human experiences and historical realities is crucial for deep understanding and societal progress. Critics argue that such sensitivity can limit creative freedom and stifle dialogue that could foster deeper understanding and reconciliation. The key challenge moving forward is finding a balance that respects diverse perspectives while still upholding the essential freedoms that allow art to challenge, inspire, and inform. This conversation mirrors broader societal debates about the boundaries of speech and the role of art in public life, suggesting that the solutions will need to be as nuanced as the art forms themselves. We respect your opinion as it yours. However, there was absolutely no intention to offend only to teach.

@@EnvironMolds yes, let's discuss. So, I'm not the first to notice. I'm a psychiatric professional. I spend most of my time working with young men and women whose lives have been permanently deranged by the sexual attention of a trusted adult. Some of them had their clothes on. It's not about what he did as much as how it affected her. All the adults were telling her this is ok, this is normal. Like Dr. Nasir and the gymnasts. I noticed RED FLAGS. If I say nothing, I am complicit. I don't know him or you, I have observed a white male over 40 talking about touching a tweens breast and cutting her leotard off etc. if you don't find this alarming you are enabling. any issues that young woman has around men and sex in the future are on your shoulders. I am not saying that man has molested anyone. I'm saying he is behaving in a manner that is 100% consistent with an active pedophile. See something, say something. Wouldn't it be a dream to live in a world where boys and girls can become adults without sexual trauma, relationship trauma, and all the maladaptive behaviors. My best to you and your family. If you need help right now, call 988. If you're concerned about that child, have her evaluated by a trauma trained professional.

Sodium silicate and potassium silicate are both silicate compounds, but they differ in their chemical composition, properties, and applications. Here's a comparison of the two: 1. Chemical Composition Sodium Silicate (Na2SiO3): Composed of sodium oxide (Na2O) and silica (SiO2). Potassium Silicate (K2SiO3): Composed of potassium oxide (K2O) and silica (SiO2). 2. Solubility Sodium Silicate: Highly soluble in water, forming a viscous, alkaline solution. Potassium Silicate: Also soluble in water, but typically less viscous and slightly less alkaline than sodium silicate solutions. 3. pH and Alkalinity Sodium Silicate: Tends to have a higher pH (more alkaline) in solution compared to potassium silicate. Potassium Silicate: Slightly lower pH, making it less alkaline and potentially less caustic. 4. Applications Sodium Silicate: Adhesives and Binders: Used in making cardboard, paper, and refractory materials. Construction: Used in concrete treatment, as a soil stabilizer, and in fireproofing. Water Treatment: Acts as a corrosion inhibitor and is used in water softening. Detergents: Used in cleaning products for its ability to break down oils and fats. Potassium Silicate: Agriculture: Used as a fertilizer and plant protectant. It strengthens plant cell walls, making plants more resistant to diseases and pests. Coatings: Used in high-temperature coatings and paints, especially for metal protection. Fireproofing: Similar to sodium silicate, it's used in fireproofing applications. Construction: Used in mortars, cements, and concrete to improve durability. 5. Reactivity Sodium Silicate: More reactive with acids, leading to faster setting times in certain applications, such as in grouting and sealing. Potassium Silicate: Less reactive than sodium silicate, which can be advantageous in situations where a slower reaction time is needed. 6. Environmental Impact Sodium Silicate: Generally considered safe for the environment, but its higher alkalinity can be more corrosive to both skin and materials. Potassium Silicate: Also environmentally safe, but its lower alkalinity makes it slightly safer to handle and less corrosive. 7. Cost Sodium Silicate: Typically cheaper and more widely available. Potassium Silicate: Usually more expensive due to its specialized applications, particularly in agriculture and high-performance coatings. Summary Sodium Silicate is more commonly used in industrial applications where cost-effectiveness and strong alkaline properties are needed. Potassium Silicate is preferred in agriculture and specific industrial applications where lower alkalinity and less corrosiveness are advantageous. The choice between the two often depends on the specific requirements of the application, such as reactivity, pH, and environmental considerations.

Not to knock your technique but wouldn't have been better to have sprus glued to the body before making the top mold instead of drilling through silicone!?? Not very easy or reliable also you wasted a lot of silicone injecting it until it forces it's way out another hole. Just lots of other ways to do this a little better.
