I've had one of these for 2 yrs and while its great for stowing everything you need in a compact size I find it really uncomfortable to carry for more than a short while. The reason is because it rides too high on the back (see 5 minute mark in vid). Even with the chest strap done up, the main straps put all the load around the shoilders and none of the weight is transfered to the hips and lower back. Also makes you feel unbalanced for the same reason. If, as you say, you carry this in your barrow for 90% of the time, then you probably wont notice this as a problem, but if you have to walk half a mile with this, then you may realise its not so well designed.
Hi Lewis, sick video! Just a quick question, in the video you have the TA quiver bag, I have 3x nash 9ft scopes, would those fit with the TA extendable tip top protectors?
Its the first rucksack Thinking Anglers did that only has 2 bankstick loops on each side, only did it in olive green an looks the same as these newer ones... Newer one's have been tweaked to be better organised.. Think the older ones are a bit smaller
Hello mate, unlikely and I don't think the compact version of the scope mat would roll up small enough to go on the straps on the top. I am not 100% sure but fairly certain
Hi. Could you by any chance tell me if a Nash workbox would fit flat un the top of the main compartment? Slightly bigger than the medium tackle box you have in the front : 29cm by 19cm.
Stumbled across your video. There’s a lot of terrible product ‘review’ videos out there. This isn’t one of them-a great effort and one of the best I’ve seen. Nice one🙂
Massively appreciate this review Lewis. It's videos like this that help other people really make their decisions. I have been looking at a rucksack recently and have come across the thinking anglers camoflek. But a picture doesn't do it justice, but your video did. A really well put together video and answered every question I had along with others I hadn't thought of Thankyou for making it Lewis, I'm putting in an order when I'm home Subscribed 👌
I was thinking about booking the specimen lake for me and my brother for his 40th. £750 lake exclusive for 4 nights with lakeside lodge etc. Would you recommend it there? Never been before but looks good
Looks wise they are the bollocks, sexy bit of kit, unfortunately I don't like the way rucksack feels on your back, too square, bouncers about ,I used mine once or twice, I couldn't get on with it , iv got one for sale and the cool bag,
Absolutely love mine, really made me look at how much stuff i was taking that i didn't need. Its really comfortable and perfect for the mobile angler like me. I cant fault the thinking anglers products
I use the Saber equivalent which is half the price - the TA does have a few better features like loops for 3 pairs of banksticks not 2 - also it has the compartments inside. At £34.99 the Saber is great VFM for a day stalking rucksack - i guess it depends what you are prepared to pay. No doubt the TA is a better product though. Good review
