I am using Truview -> Truview VR -> Steam VR -> Meta Quest 3. The computer is connected to LAN, the goggles is via wifi. When I click on the goggles icon in Truview, using a compatible lgsx file, “Launching Truview VR” appears briefly, Steam VR launches, but nothing from Truview VR appears in the Meta Quest 3 goggles. Would anyone know why?
If you´re going to show how to use a tool, please show where to begin to use the tool. You begin with the tool already active, making the selection. What are the steps to get there?
Go to 0 seconds - use the Smooth Surface tool and the poly selection tool... Hope this helps. See: rcdocs.leica-geosystems.com/cyclone-register-360/latest/smooth-surface-region-grow
In what mode do you use this tool? In Site Map, or in Bundle Cloud, or in Slicer? A little more information would be very helpful. When I use a polygon fence, I can't close it, and then nothing happens. When I use a circle, nothing happens either. When I use a rectangle, I don't see it when I click the two points, and then, in all three cases, the buttons to "delete outside" or "delete inside" do not appear. Why?
Hi, I have a question. I am beginning to use Cloudworks for Revit today, and I found something that is disappointing and not productive. In order to use the tools I must open a GLS file. Fine. But then, I cannot move, rotate, unpin, nor delete that model. I want to be able to move and rotate the cloud model to the orientation and elevation that I want before starting to model, but this is not possible. What can I do? The model came at a different elevation and orientation, not what I need.
@@RealityCaptureGuy , I follow the link and I see a table of features by program, and the words "supported" or "not supported". I don't see how that answers my question. So, is moving, rotating, unpinning, deleting, replacing, an GLS model, not supported in Revit? That makes Cloudworks difficult to use.
@@RealityCaptureGuy He has a video about how to align a video with an existing model. My question is how to rotate or move the model before modeling. But, OK, I will try with that method to see if if I can rotate and move the model without already having a model. In most situations, we are just going to start a model after importing the point cloud, aren't we? That is the moment when we need to move the cloud in x, y, z, before beginning to model in Revit. It would be better to get some more direct answers to simple questions instead of "see this", "see that" especially if the reference does not answer the question.
Thank you, Paul, for making this video. I still have some questions, though. I am interested only in the part that helps me share the point cloud with clients, so that they can see their building and take additional measurements if they need to. But what confuses me is that this tool also does registration, although at the end, you import the data into Cyclone. In my mind, Cyclone is my registration tool, and I was expecting Reality Cloud Studio (RCS) to be just my visualization tool for clients. But, if RCS does registration, do I still need Cyclone? I see overlapping features between the two tools. Does RCS replace Cyclone, then? Why should I have both tools?
No, it does not replace Cyclone REGISTER 360+ for most customers - the streaming part at the end is streaming into Cyclone 3DR (not a registration solution). One day maybe a cloud solution will completely replace the desktop tools - who knows!? Keep in touch: paul.burrows@hexagon.com

That is correct - for the time-being we are recommending LGS (from Legacy R360 release), Structured E57 for TLS data, and LAS for mobile data (or B2G of course). LGSx support should come very soon - it's in the final stages of testing.
Hello...I could really use some friendly advice. Any help is good help! So I find myself with a Leica Blk360, I thought it might be good for quick and easy photogrammetry but no one seems to know what to do with the hardware. I've done Photogrammetry with a camera but never a BLK360. Is there a program that I can use to take the point cloud from this device and mesh it? Thank you for any help!
Hey Paul, im from Brazil and im doing a work With leica BLK 360 g2. My projects are saved im LGS. I receive a project exemple from my company but the project I’s saved in FLS. How can I convert the FLS to LGS? I need to see that exemple, but cyclone register /truview cant open FLS FILES.
Actually its a case of isolating the area , selecting the smooth surface tool at which point all points go white and no prompt what to do is forthcoming but you then need to click the place you wish to use, then if it hasn't done a sufficient job you need to click more parts of the surface you want that are still red until you then get to the point at which this video starts. Matt Hull has a far better video on it.@@RealityCaptureGuy
Thanks for the video! There is not much information regarding this out there. Is there a way to validate measurements? Say a client has an modul in Construction, and wants some to scan and take measures in the pointcloud, to validate the measurements?
I use SolidWorks now, say I have two pipes side by side, and I want to validate distance center point to center of said pipes, can I get this out of the Cloud? What I struggle with is setting parameters, how to sett the centers. (Sorry for the hassle Im on my phone)@@RealityCaptureGuy
Congratulations, without a doubt, these Leica tools will continue to make history, contributing and positively impacting the design and construction industry worldwide. All this allows greater agility, ease and improves the precision and processing of data that professionals and owners need for the execution and operation of their projects or for Virtual Construction processes.
Wow, this 360 3D tour of the car park is amazing! How long did it take to take all the pictures and stich them up? I enjoyed this wonderful tech tour. Thanks for sharing!
Looking at the number of set-ups with an all new Leica BLK360, this probably took less than 1 hour. Everything would be stitched together automatically and we've hosted the data within HxDR which gives you the "virtual tour" you see in the clip... hope this helps!
This is all well and good, and it's great that the software is being improved, updated, and new features are being added, but for a one man band surveyor dealing with small to medium projects, delivering traditional 2D plans to architects, and having to compete for these jobs, all this means to me is that I get a load of new features I'll never use and a doubling in my yearly subscription fee. So that's an extra £900 I've got to find on top of all the other current inflationary problems, where you can bet your bottom dollar I can't add all these extra costs to my quotes without losing jobs. Good video though.
There's always the option to invest in F360 BLK edition (assuming you're using a BLK360) and do the full registration and export from the device? Cuuld this work for you?
@@RealityCaptureGuy Possibly, I'm not sure without further research, but I can't imagine doing all the fiddling with registration and control points and cleaning up and limit boxes etc etc on a small phone or tablet, I want to do it as I do now on my pc with a big screen and a mouse in the office. Site is full on data collection with theodolite and BLK, then get the hell out back to the office to process.
@@RealityCaptureGuy PS. It always makes me laugh when someone says "do everything in the field" or a video shows someone "surveying" a flat/clean/vegetation free/ open area on a nice dry sunny day, then they get their laptop out and process the job with a tap of the screen. The reality is cold/wet/dirt/leaves and vegetation in the way/junk and clutter to move or clamber over/street urchins knocking a tripod/battery fails or heaven's open halfway through a scan/darkness approaching and you haven't quite finished etc etc. There is absolutely no way I ever process anything on site, and I don't know any other surveyors that do.
You need to have Cyclone PUBLISHER Pro (now Cyclone Workflow) to push out LGS files which supports TV-VR. You can download this from Leica MyWorld portal or the Leica Website.
Wow, I’m considering getting one, what’s the accuracy of the blk2go in your experience, how big was the site? And how long did it take to process that?
a truly useful webinar, it keeps us updated on what's happening behind the scene and provides a practical explanation of what and why, thanks Paul, would be great to keep us in the loop periodically, much appreciated
This video is so valuable, it’s great to get an update on all the new features across all these products/device thank you for this video, much appreciated.

Problem of using this UCS function is that u have no idea anymore where your data went. in 3dreshaper its imported in this UCS, but there is no way to get your totalstations points to the same UCS. Or did i miss something???
@@RealityCaptureGuy TO BE FAIR WE SET TARGETS ALL THE TIME ON PROJECTS. WE THEN USE THE UCS TOOL, EXPORT THE TARGET LOCATIONS AND USE THAT COORDINATE SYSTEM WITH A RTS. SO IN SOME CASES IT DOES MAKE SENSE. @IPPIPP8905 WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH? I CAN LIKELY HELP.
CloudWorx for Revit is a paid for license, but is included within CloudWorx Ultimate in addition to being sold as a standalone license - the choice if yours.
