Any pickpocket proof bags with locks on the straps are great. When dining, you can lock the strap around your chair back or even a table leg. In the heat of summer it's not practical to hide all your valuables under your clothes. I do have a document pouch that is supposed to be worn around your neck. I loop it around a bra strap so it's not visible around my neck. If traveling with others, when waiting in line, stand back to back and scan the crowd. You will see the pickpockets and they will see you and look for another mark. I've traveled all over the world and never been pickpocketed, but I've seen some in action. Don't be scared, just be alert.
That's great that Vestiaire worked with you -- I have ordered LC from them and have been happy, but maybe I'm not looking close enough LOL. I am really surprised at how convincing the fakes are -- how good they are getting at replicas. But also, why is Longchamp not doing more to stop this???
I love love Kurt!! Love the bags. Getting a black one or silver or grey. Just walked into his store in London a few weeks ago! He has many that are black, gray… Even denim. I love love, love the bird logo emblem
Hi Sandy, thanks for your video. I just bought a Longchamp Xtra in size XS from an ebay seller in Japan and I had doubts, but they allow returns and they have positive reviews. I thought Japan had more stringent rules for selling fakes? That reassured me, even though the tag looks a little fishy. I will wait for it to come, but I am also wondering if the quality and appearance is just as good as the original, does it really matter? Guess it's a personal decision.
Also, when I asked her, she said the bag is from a "Longchamp outlet" in France, which I don't even know if that's a thing. Also, the low price made more willing to try, for better or worse.
I would love to get the Longchamp canvas and leather Box Trot, but I'm not sure which size to get. I'm torn between the small and the medium you show in the video. What are your thoughts? Do you think the small is too small, especially given it's a square shape?
Thanks mom and dad for childhood trauma. I have hyper awareness as an adult and this won’t happen to me. I’m very vigilante and very observational to everything
I don’t carry a wallet or purse. I travel spring, fall and wear a light black raincoat that has four deep 10” pockets, 2 inside. I make an RFID wallet the size of my debit, I’d, 2 credit cards. Put cash in one and that tiny wallet on inside I wear a small crossbody underneath my raincoat with some cash that I can reach at the counter pretty quickly.. I also wear a money belt under everything and only go in it in a bathroom stall. Funny I lived in London 2 years in 77-78 and did wear a purse but always held it close in crowds. My husband, 6’2” USA marine caught a pickpocket in his pocket and twisted that jerks hand so bad in the tube station, Marble Arch. Pickpocket got hurt, he deserved it (happened as soon as train pulled up and doors opened). Didn’t have phones back then.
Hi, I'm disappointed about the Longchamp Box trot being discontinued. I love the canvas and leather one you show in the video. Do you think it would be worth trying to track one down? I see it's no longer on the Canadian website. I was also wondering what you think of the Roseau Small Hobo? I see the new collection is made of different leather - it's smooth. Also, which of these two Longchamp bags do you like best: Epure Small Crossbody or the Foulonne Small Crossbody? Thanks Sandy!
I love LV but I never got onboard with the Neverfull. I feel that the straps are too thin. Thanks for sharing the alternatives! Have a lovely week ahead, Sandy 💖🌸😘
They’re super cute! But I guess they’re just not selling. Personally I think they should just reconsider the price of them. I think the price is simply a bit too high compared to the price of the Le Pliage bags. 🤷♀️

I got pickpocketted when shopping in a store in Kalverstraat.. the two girls took my DKNY coins bag with 12 euro in it but luckily not my ugly black wallet..
Thanks for this video. I have this pouch in similar condition to yours. I took it to LV & it was now on my account as being purchased. However, you mentioned it came with an older bucket bag which I did have. Since they do have record of that, they agreed to replace the lining. Thank you!
All valuables , Passport , cards , cash , all in a money pouch under your clothing . NEVER leave your bag on the back of your chair , and no smart phone on the table . Sleep well .
@@chavaler.9718unfortunately people from india and south america and other countries can also have brown eyes and brown skin so this is actually racist. I am saying that because i have been mistaken as a pickpockets by racists and that is despite me wearing clothes and shoes that the racists would not be able to afford. Just saying.
Same for me. I saw three light skin girls, in normal clothes, they surrounded my partner on the metro, ready to steal his wallet. I started looking at them, they understood I knew what they were going to do, so left quickly.
We used a metro escape to scare the pickpockets in 2019, entering a train just before the doors closed. The pickpockets, who ran after us for some time, kept banging on the door, but the train left the station and one of the pickpockets almost fell into the track! Absolute W! Then we were not targeted again due to a possible blacklist from many pickpockets due to our actions!
I've seen a lot of people with these kind of lanyards. I think keeping valuables out of sight is the best option but these lanyards also look like a great way to keep your phone close to you: amzn.to/4cJHQf5 & amzn.to/4cFDZQ3 (affiliate links)
thats true when I was in Paris 1985 children age 10-12 grab my wallet in train station, catch one of them but later one of the adult told my friend in France to let them go. he was in of them too. they let kids to do the work their dirty job that way policy cant catch them.
You are absolutely right - it looks and feels terrible. As soon as I attached the strap I realised this was not going to stay in place. I used it a few times and hated the way it looked. I tried everything - pulling the tabs right down onto the base of the handles but it still rode up. No way is this a good solution. I'm going for the grommets now.
Hi look at the stitching on flap on the bag that you suspect to be a false. The stitch is not evenly space as the one you know to be an authentic. There also something with the way it catches the light, but for me the stitching is the tell.
Our encounter happened in Paris 2015, those 3 gypsies were 12,13,14 something. Thankfully a young Frenchman warned us in loud voice to be alert. That's inside the subway train
