On my 2011 Subaru Forester it States this: Continuing to drive with the AWD warning light flashing can damage the powertrain. If the AWD warning light starts to flash, promptly park in a safe place and check whether the tires have differing diameters and whether any of the tires has an excessively low inflation pressure. What am I missing here. Is it OK to run just the front and if so to what end?
This is used mostly for when you’re driving on a donut (spare tire) because the diameters of the tires are different leading to possible differential damage as the ratios would be different on each side of the car. That’s why you keep power going only to the front wheels, to minimize damage and get yourself to a mechanic or back home.
Good Job! I got a new phone and I had to go to the bluetooth settings to scan - locate the device in my van and initiate the pairing mode. TYVM for your help!
Yes a great video. Did what u said, so once done, when I switched on the key (NOT to full start) the AWD yellow light appeared, but once I started the vehicle the AWD light went off. Is that correct please. ManyThanx
Great help thank you. Better than the salesman at my local Subaru dealer. He didn't even recognise the model I drive, and he couldn't figure out how to connect my phone. The first thing he asked me, was if I bought the car from his dealership? I said no ( I've had the car serviced there ) so I don't think he was to interested in helping me out after that. But what if I'm trading in my car in, in the future? I certainly won't be looking for him to sell me a new car! Sorry rant over! 😖
what if you're driving a 2014 Forester I cannot find the actual fuse it does not State anything with front wheel or 4 wheel on the battle any suggestions
it won't play my music and I don't know why. got it to work once but now it won't. it says connected on my car and phone. any ideas? volume up on both of course.
