Hello this is a helpful video - I've only had my unit 3 months. I noticed my water is green and is not clearing up. I checked the trip switch and my UV light did not light up so I purchased a brand new UV light thinking that was the issue. I just installed the new UV light and checked it using the trip switch you show on your video, the new light is not lighting either. I've only had my system 3 months, could the control panel not be working already? all the other lights on the control panel work, its just not turning on my UV lights?

You gave us a VERY BRIEF view of the plastic 'Y' in the 'volute' (?) but it was mostly invisible due to your black t-shirt as the background. Also, I got a LOT longer out of my Pondmaster Model 12 pump (1200 gph). It lasted 25 years without me EVER even taking it apart. It finally started making nasty noises and I discovered that the center of the plastic 'Y' had broken away. The impeller unit looked just fine, though. I purchased a new 'volute' (and a new impeller anyway, even though the impeller was actually fine). Now I'm expecting to get ANOTHER 25 years out of the pump! But from now on I'm going to clean the innards like you recommend - At least once a year, anyway. When I take it out for the winter. My pond's not deep enough for a Canadian winter. Even with a heater.

There is a problem with that method. I did that method 30 yrs ago and I am now going back and removing tree roots that went over the top of the liner.

My tube going to 22 feet water fall has failed where it connects to the pump. What is a smart solution without digging the ground to replace the entire tubing?

We have a pond with no fish. Recently we have had some feral cats, 2 raccoons, and a skunk stopping by to drink out of our pond daily. This is in addition to birds and squirrels. Suddenly we’re seeing significant water loss in our pond. One of the raccoons has been taking nightly swims in our pond and we see all the critters on a motion sensor camera coming to drink. We’re trying to decide if we have a leak or if the critters are just draining our pond with their water consumption. If it is a leak, approximately how much would the water level decrease daily?

Put a motor and propeller on and go scar the unsuspecting 😂

Pump bag stuck to the pump cage getting clogged within 12 hrs. Aquascape suggested doubling the netting on the skimmer net, which I did and has not affected flow plus easy to clean- I pull it out , hose it off and replace it instead of reaching into the bottom of the skimmer to fuss with the pump bag. I am the guy with the giving tree overhead.
